11 acres??? I'm lucky to have 11'. :(
Well, he's likely a much younger man that would not be happy in your high-end neck of the woods.:p
I was given the land. It was a blessing As my wife and i were shopping for a new home. My parents insisted we accept the land instead of purchasing a smaller lot. My grand parents owned several hundred acres and divides it among their children when they passed away. There were 7 kids and each received 40 acres each. My parents have decided to divide their share between my other 2 siblings and me. They currently have a home on part of it so the break down of the remainder is around 11 acres. That's how i received it. It is valued at $100k+. The home I'm building is $172k. Its not real big, but it is gonna be home till the day i die. Its 1800 Sq ft with 600 sq ft of porches. I have wild deer and wild turkeys on the property. I also have Quail, Bob Cats, Coyote, and snakes  I was waiting until it gets finished to post up some pics of my home and the A/V set up. I have lived in apartments 8 years in the past, and rented 2 different houses after that. So it is gonna to be a pleasure to own my own home. My wife and i are 34 years old.
I'm not sure what is meant by High end neck of the woods, but in my experience if it means million dollar town house with neighbors only feet away, your right i wouldnt be happy with that arrangement (to each his own) I'm not knocking it though. I lived in Lakeland Fl. for 10 years, i couldn't stand the area and the way people act in the larger city. Around here people are very friendly, they wave at you when passing. They also give plenty of room on the streets when driving. In Lakeland i would get cut off, pulled out in front of, merged on, followed too closely, and flipped off at least daily. To me it just isn't worth it. I have been truly Blessed By GOD, I was able to get a good paying job locally where i was raised. I hope everyone is as blessed as I am.

Peace,
Tommy

State moves to ban fake testicles on vehicles
Fri Apr 25, 2008 12:03pm EDT

TALLAHASSEE, Florida (Reuters) - Senate lawmakers in Florida have voted to ban the fake bull testicles that dangle from the trailer hitches of many trucks and cars throughout the state.

Republican Sen. Cary Baker, a gun shop owner from Eustis, Florida, called the adornments offensive and proposed the ban. Motorists would be fined $60 for displaying the novelty items, which are known by brand names like "Truck Nutz" and resemble the south end of a bull moving north.

The Florida Senate voted last week to add the measure to a broader transportation bill, but it is not included in the House version.

In a spirited debate laced with double entendre, Senate lawmakers questioned whether the state should curtail freedom of expression in vehicle accessories.

Critics of the ban included the Senate Rules Chairman, Sen. Jim King, a Jacksonville Republican whose truck sported a pair until his wife protested.

The bill's sponsor doubted it would succeed.

"It's probably not going to make it through the process," Baker said on Thursday. "It won't be much of story in a few days."

Good riddance. I hate seeing those things. All I can think is, "Compensating for something there, bud?" :D
