My wife (bless her cute little soul) is going to drive me nuts. Here is today's story.
The road we live on tends to build up water when it rains due to pour drainage. (We've called & called but the town won't fix it. They say that the water will be gone in 24 hours after the rain stops) The water builds up to one side of our driveway. We have our mailbox on the other side for obvious reasons. But sometimes, it rains hard enough that the water spreads to that side as well, making it a little tough to pick up the mail.
Today, we had our driveway repaved. I told her to remind the guy to pad a little by the mailbox so we can walk to it even when we get a lot of rain. She just called to tell me how great the new driveway looks. I asked about the mailbox. She says, "Oh, I had them move it." Move it? Move it where? To the other side of the driveway. You mean, where all the water is? "Uh, yes. Isn't that what you wanted?" WTF!?
Sorry to all you smart/logical ladies/women out there. Just had to vent.
Ahhhh...... feel much better now. Just wait till I get home though.

Now you just know that the decision to move the mailbox to the other side was purely for aesthetic reasons because she likely feels that it looks better on that side. :)

I'm a general contractor and let me tell you, it's a miracle your wife got a paving guy to move the mailbox. Congratulations, she must be smokin' hot.:D:D

True that. She even got him to show up on time and to give us a discount. Hmmm... hey!

Yup. By the flowers instead of the t-poll.

Well I can only say one thing, bring on the dry spell that way you'll soon forget about the standing water and be dazzled by the new drive. :D

If he gives her much crap about it when he gets home, there will be a dry spell alright but it won't involve the rain.:D:D

Now, the paving guy is the one who is ringing the door bell twice instead of the postman. ;)
