Not a fan

3. Because I plan to build my home theater as a dedicated space devoted to high-quality. For the other areas of my home that I intend to A/V, to more or less degrees, I would much rather have direct access to the individual components themselves to improve control. Furthermore, each space that I plan to equip will have differing emphasis. For example, the adult recreation room will emphasize playing good tunes to enjoy while we shoot pool, play cards or watch a football game. My office will be a small system, tunes only, and be in a relatively small listening volume. I have yet to run across any line of equipment capable of such diverse functionality, at least not without remortgaging your home, which precludes employing a central system with IR'd remote management.

Besides, if I am totally honest, doing separate systems allows me to buy more toys too!!
