Spekaer connectors

1. Speakon connectors, but probably to expensive for home use. Banana second choice.
2. and 3. I don't care about the color, durability and flexibility are very important.

1) Banana plugs are the simplest for me to use.
2) I do not care about color.
3) Jacket material and feel are unimportant.

I want a quality cable does not add to or subtract from the signal.

1.I presently use bare wire but when I have used bananas I prefer the look.
2.I like a blue color. Like the new tributary biwire cover.
3. As I answered question2, I find it to be a clean look and not obtrusive

(1) Banana plugs are best...

(2) Neutral colour - dark grey etc...

(3) Flexibility is the keyword considering how most set-ups tend to get into tight areas...

Thanks for the opportunity to enter - Randy

3. Is speaker cable jacket material important? Is a certain type of look and feel preferred?

....................................................

1. Banana plugs cannot be beaten for convenience and performance!

2. Yes, color is important. I prefer natural, light colors that go with the decor of normally painted walls and flooring (WAF considerations!). :)

3. For the 'coolness' factor, I prefer a soft fabric.

Contest Questions:

1. What types of connectors do you prefer for speaker cables?
banana plugs.

2. Is color important of the jacket important to you? What color do you prefer?
Not unless it's for surround speakers, white for surround speakers. I like clear jackets just b/c you can see the wire, but it's not important enough that it would influence my purchase.

3. Is speaker cable jacket material important? Is a certain type of look and feel preferred?

Only mildly important, thinner jacket for surround speakers (easier to tuck under baseboard/carpet). Other than that, I just want it to be durable & slick enough to push/pull through the arms & legs of stands.

bananas for receiver end, banana or spade for speaker end

color isnt important, as long as cables are neutral and mostly hidden

material has same constraints, not important, just needs to be neutral.

1. Spades I like to really tighten the connection.
2. Color is not really important as long as it doesn't call attention to the cable, unless its the cables I once saw that lit up.
3. The jacket material is certainly important as it can help isolate noise from getting to the signal. The look of the cable is not really important but the cables that are the size of a garden hose or have a netting are certainly cool.

1. Banana plugs
2. Black, Grey
3. Must be flexable and tough. Most of my wire is in wall so I need to trust it will last and not crack and handle a variety of temps.

1. Banana plugs

2. White would be nice (would blend w/my current wall color.)

3. No, not really... as long as it's flexible enough to work around corners, I'm fine w/whatever.
