1) My favorite A/V purchase last year was an entertainment center custom built to hold all of my A/V gear WITH a Mitsubishi 46" LCD Flat-Screen TV (model LT-46231) included as a package deal.

2) I'd like to get a good turntable and Xitel INport, so I can record my remaining LPs to CD.

My favorite A/V purchase last year was a subscription to Netflix. I don't have cable, and it really let me watch a lot more things.

For this year, I plan on buying an SVS PC-Ultra as soon as they go up for sale.

Last year was slim pickings; my favorite a/v purchase was a Nakamichi cassette deck.

This year will be a bonanza; I intend to get several new mid-fi Audio/HT components: a StudioTech U22T cabinet, a 1080p big screen (brand tbd), Wharfedale Diamond Series speakers (9.6, 9.CM and 9.1 or DFS), a universal disc player (brand tbd) and emotiva (probably Ultra) separates for amp and processor. It hurts my wallet to list it all at once.

Favorite purchase from the past year would be our Russound 4-zone amplifier. Great to be able to play different sources in different rooms at different volumes.

Next purchase will be a 2.0 system for our office...funds permitting!

By far, my front projector. That easily beat my first flat screen tv - 50" Pioneer. Bigger is Better!!!

Purchase this year will be an ota/hd tuner that is NOT buggy and saddled with compromises like the current (and past) offerings. That's assuming one is ever made...

Plan to purchase a Plasma TV and matching Rocket center channel speaker later this year.
