For myself it is about 60% movies, 20% TV and 20% music. I don't really watch a lot of TV anymore.

TV and DVD's...

Only because it's more fun watching porn than listening to it... :D

I'm mainly a music freak, so long as it's not country. I can quite easily put a couple of cd's in my changer and let them play on random while I veg with a mag or the pc. But there's nothing quite like a good movie either. So seeing how about thirty songs is around movie length, a 50/50 split would be about right. Plus it sounds sweeter now with my new Richter FOH and surrounds.

If it's too loud, turn it down. NOT!! :D

Home theater mostly. TV 60%, DVD 20%, CD/MP3/MD 20%. Even when listening to stereo sources though, i put my yamaha in 7.1 channel stereo mode.

I listen to a lot of music. I'd like to watch more DVD movies, but with two young children, it is difficult to find time to sit with my spouse and watch a movie uninterrupted. And after the kids are asleep we don't want it too loud, which dampens the enjoyment of a good movie. With music, you can do something else while listening.

I use mine primarily for Home Theater, probably 50% TV, 30% DVD, and 20% music

Some of both. Not too much TV. Movies when we have the time. Music even when we don't.

There's no question that TV is king in our home. I personally split my viewing 50/50 between DVD & TV, but how can you beat Smallville in HD?

;)

I have speakers throughout the rest of my house that are often on all day for music though. Not sure I consider that part of my primary 'home theater', but since I can listen to music while I work and do other things, I don't typically go into the family room to just listen.

There are people that still do that? What a bunch of wackos. ;) ;) ;)

I put 50%-50%.
The system is on about 4-5 hrs a night once I get home.
My wife listens to music all day long.

I'd say I'm about 90% home theater and 10% music with most music being surround material (gotta utilize those speakers ;) ).

I 'watch' movies mostly. I would listen to music more if I had something to watch. I mean, we have a 52" HDTV tv in front of us, it would difficult to turn it off and sit in the room just listening to music. Background music isn't what I consider to be 'listening'. I listen to music while working, daily at the gym on my iPod and when I mow the grass/edge/blow every weekend.

We listen to music in life, but in our HT it's movies for us 98.7% of the time.

Calling it 50/50, because all my 2-channel sources go through DPLIIx

Either All Music, All Movies, or 1/2 & 1/2...how about a couple more choices...maybe 75/25 or 25/75? That wasn't too hard. I'll take 75/25. :)
