I am looking at buying either a DMR-1 (on sale for $999)or the LMC-1/LPA-1 combo ($899)
. I did a search but only found a few things about the DMR-1. It seams to be a very nice reciever and I hear A LOT of good things about Emotiva. My thoughts were to use the DMR-1 as a reciever for awhile then buy a seperate amp and just use it as a pre amp. The DMR-1 says it uses the same processor that is in thier top of the line DMC-1 and has a built in 7X125 amp and would work great for now or do you think I would be better off going with the LMC-1 combo. I am just looking towards the future. My last option is to wait until the new models come out and look at buying the LPA-2 but I heard it will cost $599 and by the time you add the LMC-2 (not sure what the price will be) it will cost more than the reciever. Any help would be great.
