Emotiva XPA-3 value

Hello, I’ve been out of the audio/home theater world for a while. Totally lost touch. I have a Emotiva XPA-3 amp, I think gen 1, that bought a number of years back. It’s in great condition and I think I want to sell it. Unfortunately, I don’t have an idea of its value. Did some quick searches on other sites I used to spend a lot of time at back in the day without coming up with anything. Can anyone help me out with a reasonable dollar value?

I'd say ask for 2/3 what you paid, expect 1/2. Post some photos on any sale thread you start to help affirm condition, including powered on. If you can take a short video to show that it works, some folk might like that, but not always necessary I'd think.

Also, if you happen to have kept original box and packaging, let folk know... Some will definitely like that.

Unfortunately, Emo doesn't really have a legacy support policy and this is known in many circles. Buying an older Emo will carry risks for those that know how quickly they tend to retire product and not have parts available.

From eBay past sales around $500.00, to $750.00 max if you are lucky. I would start with an asking price of $350 and see how it goes. Emotiva has a bad reputation I would not touch their stuff with a barge pole.

My Emotiva XPA-3 3ch amp bought in 2012 to use with my Denon 4520CI so I could go 11.1 working fine as LCR amp, 13 years later. It’s Gen1, how much did you list or sell it for?

Emotiva has a bad reputation I would not touch their stuff with a barge pole.

You got that right Emotiva are rubbish, We kicked that out of Australia years ago, due to a complete lack of service and spare parts

I had a gen 1 XPA-3 and had no issues with it. I replaced it with an XPA-5 (bought from a member here) and have been using that for nearly 10 years now. In the early days their stuff was pretty solid, even though they had issues with those "configurable" amps, then things changed.

Ebay and the Emotiva forums should give you a good idea of what it is worth.

Yeah, their early amps were very solid! Son still using XPA-2 1st gen.

As of right now I'm waiting to see if they're going to make good on speakers I purchased. I have been A very Loyal customer But now, I'm starting to get a awful feeling about their customer service I hope I am wrong we shall see within the next 24 to 48 hours.
