My sister told me that high humidity is bad on EVs. I wonder if there is any truth in that as I live near the Florida east coast and that would figure hugely in my decision to purchase one.
I think it is either extremes of heat or cold, not so much humidity. The batteries are effectively sealed as far as I know, so I am not sure humidity would be a factor.

I live in Bergen in Norway ..... about 95% of all new cars are EVs
It is not very often here that it doesn´t rain  ... I never heard of any issues with EVs and humidity here, .... but it is very different from Florida..... Here it is cold with high humidity, I reckon FL with warm and high humidity is a completely different animal.

Unless it is leased, I don't necessarily see that happen often. People that change frequently is likely the same with ICE cars, they just want the latest thing and their deal/warranty is up. With EVs, the technologies are still changing fast, which is why I leased this first one. I wanted to see how it worked for me real-world and I for sure knew the tech was going to change with the switch to NACS from CCS with Hyundai.

Over the weekend, I dropped by the dealer because it wouldn't let me add my car to the app. They fixed it in a few min, but they had the car I wanted :D The N.
Nice car

My next car is definitely leased .... I don´t wanna "bind up" lots of capital with a very high interest rate
I can lease with 3 years, 4 years, 5 years .... Quite a few cars now have 5 year warranty, I reckon it can be attractive then to go for a 5 year lease period :)

Trumpy is always bad news. He also stopped the tax credit, after "forcing" these companies to build factories to build cars here to qualify for it. Great job numb nuts. Musk thinks it will help him vs. his competitors, but I really don't see that being the case. We'll see if they reinstate it if Tesla sales tank. BYD shipped more cars than Tesla for the first time.

Rivian became #1 in the electric delivery van over Ford and Mercedes.

Cannoo filed for bankruptcy. I was reading the article and it seems the new CEO brought in all his own consulting, who made money off that company. Then they changed the direction of what the company was doing and basically killed it off. This was done seemingly intentionally, so someone is probably going to buy it up...

I was bummed about Canoo. They were doing some cool stuff and had seemingly written a great plan for diversification into their design concept.
Even though it looks weird, their Truck was truly designed around functionality as a work vehicle rather than just pandering to American consumerism. Then there was their military contract as well as the fleet service they had established in Europe.

Mismanagement is a b!tch, though.

I hope you are right and somebody buys them up and keeps it moving forward.
