Geez, if I posted what you WROTE to ME, it would show your true colors of Pink... I am far above that, and would not want all to see what you have said - might show your Real Nuance -- I should be like cschange and have heard every speaker in the world as he spends his whole day online, and tells everyone else to go and listen to everything.

Now, Walter is DAMan... we both like POWER, and Pink Floyd!! :D
The reason you wont post my pm is because I sent you nothing insulting or rash. You're a liar.

Seriously, acting like this at age 60? How embarrassing...

If DenPureSound thinks the R900 sounds even slightly better - more detail, resolution, accuracy, etc., then that is the clear choice.

But we will have to wait until sometime in January when the dealer gets the R900. They already have the Q900 now.

With the grills on, you guys think the R900 looks much better than Q900? :D
The liquidator store I told you about has the R700 and 900. If I remember right their were priced slightly higher than his $3500.

Ya right on, price is not important at all - come on... Geez, I wonder why a Bugati costs more than a Corvette?

How many speakers are you out listening to their cschange (of course, besides Ascend...)?

Geez, have you ever heard the Aperion VGT's? How about some fine Klipsch Reference Series like RF-7II's?
Actually, he was right, DPS. The for sale sticker is meaningless in this hobby. You don't always get what you pay for when it comes to audio. You might have learned this if you actually went out and listened (got you again).

I thought the guy was crazy. He actually tried to send me out with a pair of MC1.2kw amps, $25k retail or something, with nothing written down, no CC, and he didn't know my phone number. I could've taken them and never come back and he would have never found me. To be fair, I had spent around $1500 on small stuff around the shop before that, but it was with cash and he had none of my info. I was only in there once. haha. I am surprised he hasn't been burned by being so trusting, but it is appreciated because I try anything he gets whenever I want with no pressure.
You must have an extremely honest and responsible looking face.:D

Nuance put me up to it. ;)
That's OK, from a little or big Nuance up to the High Country, and then down to the Pacific Coast. Have no fear the big DA is here, I will get back at Nuance (I love to Mess w/ his Techie head). :D

I hate reviews when EVERY one of them says, nothing but GREAT, even the mid drivers can go up to 20khz. ... ya, sure with what THD+N levels? Ah, no worry they cross them at 3.8khz. Thank Goodness.

How do you put five drivers in a box, w/ a DSP controlled 1200W Class D amp for the two woofs, w/ Xover, w/Shipping from China, w/Corp. Profit, w/Dealer Profit, w/Labor ($0.86/hr.), w/Enclosures, for $1250 Each?

So, how much is each of those Drivers worth ($)?

Right now I can't wait for PENG's impression of the Paradigm S8 & Focal 1028Be after he auditions them.:D
Not done with the Digms yet, may have to continue tomorrow, but if I had the money and I probably wouldn't even bother driving all day long on multiple highways. That inverted french dome is that good!! I hate to tell Nuance he was right, well almost right (for my taste only).

I wonder if his dealer is willing to let him take the S8 home for the weekend.:D
You have got to be kidding!! Besides, the lease on my big van was up so I am driving a car and a SUV that is likely only big enough for the 6's.

Don't tell that to ADTG, his Revel Salon 2's were like $14K, ouch... so they must Sound EXCELLENT, and I bet they do, just like your favorite Sig. S8 (Just another lie, eh!).

Let's see, those BOSE 901 Series VI are $1250 / Pair and they have 9 drivers per enclosure, and they will even throw in an Active EQ for you -- so they must sound great, eh (Got you again... see).

My prediction is that Denonpuresound ends up loving the Golden Ear Triton towers.
I was going to suggest them to him but I didn't want everyone to come out and tell him those speakers are only slightly prettier.....wait, less uglier than the Q900.

Bugatti vs Corvette....what is the price difference? Is it the same magnitude you are comparing with speakers? Let's see $60K vs $1.7M.

I am not the one currently shopping for speakers, so there really is no reason for me to listen to anything to make a decision. That's common sense. Even though that is the case, I listen to different speakers when I have the chance. PM me if you want a list of what I have listened to in my own home.

Have I heard the Aperion VGT? No I haven't, but I have heard other Aperions, and some in my own room. Enough to form the opinion that they are good speakers, but for me, there are other brands that that I have heard that offer a better value.....Salk and Ascend being two of them.

The problem with your want of measurements (THD+N), crossover points, number woofers, etc. is that you can not correlate them to the sounds you prefer.

You don't trust reviews...so you need to listen for yourself. Go out and listen to what you can. There is a wide range of speakers. You can learn a lot from just listening.

They claim they provide a comparable warranty via a 3rd party company. I can't listen to any of them as they are in the US and I think (could be wrong) they sell online only.

Nope, sorry the other half said within 5 mins. SHIP THEM BACK, and I said wait till I turn up the VGT's, and then she yelled over the congested/smearing sound, and said "I told you so"... Send them back again. Good, at best, maybe just ok- (Ok with a big Minus), 3+ out of 5.

Now the Ears TT are all rated at 5 out of 5 Stars... [Laughing again]... ya, right -- but with Sandy and Don's experience level they should be 5/5! :D

We will see when the Rubber hits the Concrete if they slide downhill, or hold their own composure of finite details?

Your not going to buy anything until you listen to them, right?

I am sure you can get some Open box VGT's, but I would not want you to have to send them back, like many others have.

Stay w/ your KEF R Series, and Paradigm Sigs and Focals for now... and listen away!!

Matter of act I heard the Triton's yesterday, we played everything from jazz, blues, Dire Straits, classical to Christmas music and they sounded pretty darn good for a pair of $2,500 speakers. We drove them with everything from Quicksilver Tubes, to mono blocks, different pre-amps and a plain old Cambridge 2 chl receiver and nothing seemed to cramp their sound.
Tomorrow - we hear them... heck some say they are as good as the Magico Q5's, hahahaha... what level did you drive them up to? Did they fall apart like the VGT's when you there some power into them, with those BIG monoblocks?

So, what is the downside of them, or what did you not like about them, besides a Nuance (Have to get Him Back again and again)? :D
When I had the BP7000 & BP7001, I thought they both sounded a lot better than the B&W 800D & Paradigm Studio 100v3 & PSB Imagine T. Also better than ML Vantage & Dali Euphonia MS5. The RBH T2/P sounded better than the BP7000/7001 though.

Exactly. I would not buy from any liquidators. Mark is the man.
