Second is AV processer technology is changing about 100x faster than amp technology. My separate amp is probably going to lastt me through a couple of processors. Third.. IMHO you can get higher quality separates than combined

Not for bragging, I didn't want to tell anyone what I paid for them, but last night I read the article on cables and this morning I feel very stupid. Oh well, we must press on! At the very least if anyone ever looks behind my stereo or TV, they will be impressed.

I promise not to buy anything else before coming to the forum for advice. But at least tell me that the Monster RCA cables I bought for my cd player are better than the radio shack cables I was using from the 80's.
