I've used my X3000 series AVR many times to power large 4-ohm speakers for very loud Karaoke parties sitting 18FT away for many hours. Hopefully you have good ventilation for the Denon - if not on top shelf then have at least 3 inches above the AVR. Then get a 120mm USB fan and place atop the AVR to blow air upward. The fan is silent and will keep your Denon extremely cool. I replaced my onkyo TXNR777 with this Denon and it seems dead compared to the onko plus it doesn't seem to want to push my 15" HSU sub?? Please pont me to a thread or offer advise ,Thanks,John
