X3400H has been measured and no suprises there. Very similar results what Gene got with X3300.
8-ohms: 148W x 2Ch , 106W x 5Ch Continuous, 81W x 7Ch Continuous
4-ohms: 177W x 2Ch
SNR: 110dB, THD: 0.004%
Audyssey XT32
Pre-outs for ext amps

Not bad at all for an AVR you can get for $599 brand new when on sale.

For people who want great sound and great price and just don’t care too much about bragging rights and inaudible measured specs (people who realize this 110dBA-SNR, 0.004%-THD, +/-0.1dB FR AVR measures better than any speaker on earth), I think the Denon X3000 series w/ Audyssey XT32 and Pre-outs is the absolute sweet spot.

Hi, I’ve seen you post several great deals in the past. Do you know of any deals for a new avr with Audyssey xt 32?

The Denon X3000 series (X3300, X3400) all have Audyssey XT32.

@DigitalDawn seems to have the X3400 for $599.

These X3000 series are usually $599 brand new when on sale.

If I recall the x3300 does not have Heos capabilities if that is important to you.

Yes I’m waiting to hear back from Dawn. Every other place has the 3400 for 799 and the 3300 for 599

I don’t think I’ll be using HEOS
Yeah, I think it would be different if those HEOS powered speakers were much cheaper like $50. :D

I think most people will either use their own speakers or buy much cheaper Bluetooth powered speakers.

Yes it's brand new and in a sealed box. We are an authorized Denon dealer.

Congrats!

I've used my X3000 series AVR many times to power large 4-ohm speakers for very loud Karaoke parties sitting 18FT away for many hours. :D

Hopefully you have good ventilation for the Denon - if not on top shelf then have at least 3 inches above the AVR.

Then get a 120mm USB fan and place atop the AVR to blow air upward. The fan is silent and will keep your Denon extremely cool.

I use 2 fans, but I think even 1 fan will do.

it has been a while since anyone has posted here but I will ask why there seems to be no umph with my 3400? I replaced my onkyo TXNR777 with this Denon and it seems dead compared to the onko plus it doesn't seem to want to push my 15" HSU sub?? Please pont me to a thread or offer advise ,Thanks,John

Sounds like a setup issue with the sub, as the denon sub out has plenty of voltage output. What speakers are you using?

Can you post your settings? Those speakers shouldn't require much to get real loud. I know they arent the compression drives in the new series, but they're still pretty efficient.
