B BDR1783 Audiophyte Mar 13, 2021 5 0 1 43 Mar 14, 2021 #1 I’ve taken the cover off and blew it out thinking it had dust in it. Also while I had it unplugged tried to reset it with nothing hooked up while it starts up fine and after 40 seconds it powers off and back to flashing red light. I bought it used it’s worked fine for months. Thanks for any help

The only think you can do is plug it in and do a hard reset before the flashing light comes on. I will admit that is a long shot, as the probability is the unit has a very serious fault, and needs repair or replacement. Repair tends to be expensive and the unit will have to be sent to an authorized repair center. I trust you have tested the unit unplugged form all other devices, especially the speakers, as this issue is frequently caused by shorts in the speaker leads. It just takes one whisker. If it's in protection due to a speaker load problem, it may come back to life so you can find the cause. I have seen a lot of speaker wire that was chewed by dogs and cats- if you have pets, check that. Also, make sure the wires aren't shorting at the speakers, especially if you have banana plugs.
