I didn't think it should need pointing out, but climate doesn't have a political affiliation.

Nope, but the perception of it has both political and religious overtones, to put it mildly.

Case in point is Disney's porn-filtering service that, yes, let parents filter out "Science & Technology", as seen in this article https://arstechnica.com/gadgets/2019/07/can-disneys-circle-really-deliver-a-porn-free-internet/

The app also offers age-based presets ranging from "pre-K" to "adult" as well as the ability to filter (or allow) popular sites and services such as Reddit, HBO, Netflix, etc. directly. You can also enable category-based filtering on topics ranging from "Mature," to "Explicit Content," to "Science & Technology." (Yes, you can specifically choose to block your children's access to science. But please don't.)

It's the "Let's make our children stupid" checkbox.

It does in the US these days.
Which is stupid and why nothing will get done. People are too busy talking about political affiliation and pointing fingers instead of just talking about issues that are everyone's problem.

I'll never understand why everything has to be so polarized. Just a big waste of time.

I think it's been paid for in the current administration, and they don't want anything to get done, just undone.

Yeah, I guess I get why they want to "undo" everything the previous administration did (to make their version be the better one IMHO), but it's not going to generate any progress if all any new administration does is work to undo what the previous administration did. The smart thing is to build on what is already present to progress further toward a goal.

Quicker to renovate a house than it is to tear it down and build a new one.

What a ridiculous analogy, smh.
Not necessarily, the left says one thing, when the right agrees, the left changes its stance. Theres more focus on keeping separated than there is focus on moving things forward. The left will never agree with anything the right does because well, it's not 'their' "team".

The silly part is this was not anything said by "the left" as if it is a homogenous group sharing one opinion, sure maybe a few said something like that....so did the snowflakes (white republicans make best snowflakes) when it came to packing up their hidden bank accounts and moving to the Caymans or something equally ridiculous as something everyone on the right was planning on doing. Just what part of progress do those on the right want, tho? Seems they don't want it....
