Cheap AVR Onkyo - Denon - HK - Yamaha

Hi, I want buy a AVR cheap to begin but I live in Argentina and here there isn't too much options:

I would like that you tell me what you would choose and why.

I have an older version of the Yamaha, and I really like it. Mine is about three years old but looks just about the same on the front as the RX-381. So I recommend the Yamaha. Peace and goodwill.

I would stick with the likes of Denon or Yamaha from your list. Focus more on the features that meet your needs better between the two. Personally, I prefer Audyseey to YPAO any day of the week. But, nobody can deny Yamaha's reliability. Hard to go wrong either way inmho.

I've heard the 64bit higher end Aventage AVR's YPAO is much improved over earlier versions. As I haven't used Audyessey I can't comment on which is better. But YPAO is easier to spell.

I agree that YPAO is much easier to spell. But, Audyssey XT 32 w/Sub EQ HT is better than YPAO inmho. I am basing that on my own experience. Audyssey just made things sound better over all in my room. Others may not agree and that is fine by me. As for me, I am sticking w/Audyssey.

The Audyssey vs YPAO thing does not apply to this case. The OP has provided links to 3 basic entry level 5.1AVRs. I would say go with the Yamaha for the brand's reliability record, followed by Denon but not the Onkyo.

Besides, YPAO is easier to spell........LOL!!!! So, neither has the basic version of Audyssey/YPAO? I also would stay away from the Onkyo. The HK really scares me.

I'd go with the Yamaha of that bunch. Don't believe that Denon even has Audyssey.

No the Denon 510 does not have Audyssey. As such, I agree that the Yamaha would be a better choice. It does appear to offer YPAO. Denon used to include Audyssey 2 EQ on their entry-level models. Not exactly sure when that changed though. YPAO measures from a single point.
