Meridian Audio took their new MQA Line and created a show stopper display

This new technology surged in order to reverse the trend, in which sound quality has been continually sacrificed for convenience. Vital elements of our music have been thrown away to fit thousands of songs into a pocket or millions in a cloud. With MQA they try to get rid of this sacrifice; bringing the consumer right back to the enthralling sound of live music. MQA captures and preserves nuances and vital information that current music files obscure or discard, but in a file that is small and convenient to download or stream.

In the Loudspeaker department and MQA ready, Meridian is launching a new series of Special Edition loudspeakers – DSP5200SE, DSP7200SE and DSP8000SE. Finished as standard in a piano lacquer black or white, the Special Edition Range is also available in any of the 270 Meridian Select colors.
The traditional setup – amplifiers driving passive loudspeakers – is inefficient, limiting sound quality. Meridian loudspeakers contain a complete, matched audio system with efficient DSP crossovers, multiple DACs and driver-specific amplifiers, giving higher overall quality, less power use, and the performance of a traditional loudspeaker eight times the physical volume.

EAT C-Sharp turntable

Thanks to new materials like Carbon Fiber and Termoplastic Elastomer Eat was designing a new superflat table. The low profile base chassis is made out of highest density MDF. Because of its flatness this base sits perfectly stable on any surface! On this base the ultra low noise motor is mounted as well as 10 damping feets out of energy absorbing TPE (Termoplastic Elastomers = Hightech high energy absorbing damping material). The cone shape TPE columns carry a SANDWICH subchassis out of Carbon Fibre and MDF composite with ultimate rigidity.

An external DC power supply unit with an AC Generator creates new total clean power for the motors . For sure you have also 33 /45 electronic switching.

McIntosh XL D150 Digital Stereo Amplifier

The D150 digital stereo preamplifier expands McIntosh's digital music capabilities by supporting many of the newest digital audio formats such as DSD and DXD. A USB input accepts up to 32-bit/384kHz signals and supports DSD64, DSD128, DXD 352.8kHz and DXD 384kHz. Two coaxial and two optical inputs accept up to 24-bit/192kHz signals.

The D150 uses the same revered DAC as the D100, featuring an 8 channel, 32-bit, 500kHz D/A converter with wide dynamic range and extremely low distortion. Eight channel D/A converter is used in stereo Quad Balanced mode. It shares the classic facade, knobs and handcrafted black-glass front panels as all other McIntosh components in a small form factor of just under 4" in height.

Status Acoustics Voce Terra Granite Class D Stereo Amplifier

RBH Sound has announced a new high performance amplifier for their premier Status Acoustics line to mate with their Voce Fina Granite speakers we've previously reviewed. The amp housing is also made of granite so you can match the aesthetics of your amp to your speakers.

Some details about the amp:
It's a Class D, 300W x 2 at 8 Ohm 600 watts x 2 at 4 ohms per channel. The amp is said to be a true full range class D amp that has no high frequency damping network so it can deliver full power from 1Hz to 20kHz unlike most of the B&O Ice Modules that limit power into a 4 ohm load above 3kHz.

Looks like a cool amp, but it doesn't come cheap at $10k. We bet the aesthetics is largely responsible for this spendy price tag but how cool does it look with the Status speakers?
