I always loved the stinger hood. So cool.
My ‘69 has a factory cowl induction hood. I didn’t want to replace all the solenoids and flappers and wiring and such. But I did build an air pan that seals to the hood. It’s basically full time cowl induction. I did some experiments by tying a string to the back of the hood. By gum it actually works.

Oh for sure, thus the reason NASCAR has used cowl induction for decades, it is effectively the low pressure area outside of the car. It's what I utilized years ago on my drag car.........

Nice! I’ll see if I have a decent picture…

This was with the 750 EDL. Switched to a 670 Holley for drivability. Definitely lost a bit on top, but overall better. As you can see, the pan is sitting on top just for the pic. It’s much lower during installation.
