As a former Navy-man I feel your pain in that one simple statement. It's comforting when the rest of the world is patting your back and thanking you for your sacrifice, but when it comes down to it, what hurts you the most is the look in your wife's eyes when you tell her you have to go away again. My wife and I made it through intact, but it wasn't easy. I wish you the best and hope that she can understand the nature of your sacrifice, because it is because of folks like you that we retain our most sacred privilege - freedom.
