Maybe you should actually read my thread.

...you mean the one that says this:

...See, I am looking for a specific pair of shoes. I have wanted these shoes for probably 4 years. They are no where to be found in BC, and the only place I have seen them for sale is on the internet.

The shoe I am looking for is the Osiris D3 2001.

Preferably in this color too.

On with my question: What is a reputable website for buying these shoes?
Did I miss something? You do realize not all online vendors carry all brands and models, don't you? Neither Wissota nor Hitchcock carry them, as they generally deal in adult styles...Additionally, if they have been around for four years, there's a good chance they are MDd and available only as closeouts...Perhaps a better plan of action would have been to actually name the websites that carry them and ask if anyone had any experience (good or bad) with them...or do you actually expect us (the generic us, that is) to do the legwork (no pun intended) for you.

So contrary to your belief, I did read your post...

Honestly, how can you belong to a forum and help people out with AV problems without doing some legwork?

I NEVER buy stuff online (see: Anything) so I was seeking advice from poeple who do. Hey, what other reasons would someone join this forum for? I wonder..

Adult sizes. And what exactly constitutes an "adult" size?

Matt, now that you have 'em, rest and getting off hard surfaces are the only cure I know of for shin splints. Painful buggers...I once had 'em for 6 months. :(
Ouch, six months?:(

I think the last time I had shin splints was in high school but I did change up my workouts and am using much more of an incline on the treadmill(between 5-8% grade). I cut my speed down to save wear and tear on the knees and to get my THR down to increase fat burning instead of cardiovascular endurance.

I'll never have a "runners body" (5'9 /200lbs) but I do enjoy it and I'm almost in as good as shape now than I was years back in basic training.

You're 5'9"? Wow, you looked like 6' minimum in your photo. I'm also 5'9", but 215lbs.

Friend of mine was a professional marathon runner, now sells shoes for atheletes. According to his sources, Asics are rated as the #1 running shoe currently. I forget who's considered 2nd etc... but new balance are considered good. He stopped carrying Nike a couple years back since Nike has been neglecting their running shoes by making them poorly engineered with cheap materials. I bought a pair of Shox by Nike a year ago just to wear in the hospital (they looked good, and also looked good with the blue scrubs :D ) not to run in at all, but they are terrible shoes. Can't stand to wear them much, and just forget about running in them. The Asics I have (which were half the price) are such better shoes. They are some of the best running shoes I have ever owned, and I've owned lots.

I've had good luck buying from Eastbay. Bought shoes from their catalog for over 10 years. They have a website too. eastbay.com Good company, just shy away from all the Nikes they push, and you'll be fine.

I forgot all about Eastbay! I remember someone bringing their catalog with them back when I was in high school and we would sit there gawk at all the nice shoes we couldn't afford.:D

...shoes is shoes, you put 'em on your feet...a fairly straightforward procedure...not a lot to learn...A/V is another world entirely...

And, at the risk of being misunderstood yet again, not all shoes are available from all vendors...Name the sites that carry what you are looking for and ask the community if they have any experience with those sites, fairly simple request...I mean you did do a Google for the make and model, didn't you? BizRate.com says Zappos carries them along with others...Other sites mentioned by Google (Nextag, yahoo! shopping) really do indicate these may be closeouts...Zappos may be your best bet, reliability-wise, although I have no experience with them personally...

And no I didn't write "adult sizes"...It was adult styles...yes, both words start with the letter S, but it's the letters that follow that convey the true meaning...and BTW FWIW men's sizes are different from womens and from kids...

I think you need to look at my location. Zappos was my best bet, but they don't ship to Canada. Shoes.com doesn't have my size (11.5) or the color I want.

Oh, sorry on the sizes thing, read it too fast.

Some people find shoes just like AV. I happen to be one. And I am not buying these shoes for skating purposes(I don't skate). These shoes are the most comfortable shoe I have ever put on my foot. THAT is why I want them. Plus they look bad ***.

Not at all. Money isn't an object here.
