Well, I'm in my mid/late 30's, and when I was young people sat around and listened to music, too. We didn't have MTV, or even cable TV for that matter. Videogames existed, but not to the extent they do today, and they were for hardcore geeks only. Internet? Forget it- there was no such thing, and I only knew one person with a computer (an Apple IIe
).
There's lots of reasons kids/people today seem to have such a short attention span, but suffice to say if I try to discuss audio with the people I know it's like talking to a brick wall. Or worse, one of them will ask me if I own The Speaker Brand That Cannot Be Named!
