I would say 3.5-4". Some of the stitches are a layer of skin down.Glad that you're still upbeat!
How long is that incision? Was it an inch or two? Hard to tell from the photo. 24 stitches sounds like a lot for a short incision.
Doc said no mountain biking for 2 weeks, no road biking for 1 week and no weight lifting for 4 weeks. I'm off until Jan 2 and was planning on biking a lot. I get the stitches out Jan 1st and then just a 6 month check up.And from here what happens?
Come get me Alex....Don't worry...Alex digs scars.
Still hoping good things for you!![]()
You know that the only way he saw that was to read it through the window. He doesn't have a smart phone.Come get me Alex....![]()
you caught me brother, it's on my wiener...You sure that's the shoulder area!
No heavy subwoofer lifting for the Christmas break...
Get well soon :*
A straight guy could never sell a broken amp to an alcoholic...Greg, hope all is well. Good luck with your next check up.
Now see...if you were straight, you could make up a really cool story.

He's already out there. I may shave him down and go to town while my wife is at work...Hey Man,
Glad the surgery went well and it looks like it will heal up well. Have a great Christmas.
Oh and remember to keep the patio door locked or Alex may show up in his "Santa" outfit again try to spread his Christmas "cheer".

Ummm...uhhhh...aren't we suppose to imply that you're going to do that? It's just so odd to see you say it about yourself.I may shave him down and go to town while my wife is at work...![]()
I'm not ashamed, Alex is a nice young man...Ummm...uhhhh...aren't we suppose to imply that you're going to do that? It's just so odd to see you say it about yourself.

I'm hoping it's not a hack job. I asked the Doc why she was leaving such a raised ridge and she said that these wounds always depress and end up sunken so she leaves them raised and they end up being level when healed.Oh, and yeah...that photo of your stitches is nasty. Thanks for that. It's like looking at a caterpillar crawling under someone's skin. Eeee.
Don't worry sunshine...you're still beautiful.I'm hoping it's not a hack job. I asked the Doc why she was leaving such a raised ridge and she said that these wounds always depress and end up sunken so she leaves them raised and they end up being level when healed.
I'm more concerned with how bad it is stretching the skin below it. It looks weird right now where it has left the long vertical stretch lines.
THANKS SWEETHEART...Don't worry sunshine...you're still beautiful.![]()
I'm not sure either but then again, I have scars all over from biking so it doesn't bother me. I need work on the rotator cuff of the same shoulder so I am sure it will end up with more scars at some point anyway.I'm not so sure about that "ends up being level" thing, but she's the surgeon. My scars didn't stick up like that and they are still slightly raised as it is - I had staples though and my big scar is about 6" long. If you look up the methods for managing scarring (like after a C-section for chicks), you can just try some of those things to help it go back to more normal once it is all sealed up. It isn't exactly in a place where it will get a lot of skin "refreshing", like hands, so you will have to actively work on it. The stuff that is stretched will probably stay that way for a while and then go back to normal too.
