Not to worry, Greg. I've had a few removed. BCC does NOT metasticize, so it's more like a permanent and slowly growing zit/bump. I personally wouldn't even call it "cancer"...which is a catchall word for many different systemic problems. Get it removed so that it doesn't look unsightly as it grows and people run from you screaming "HELP! A monster is after me!"
I ALSO had Stage IV Head and Neck squamus cell. That was not so good. Lots of surgery and radiation. (Explains a lot about my goofiness...eh?) That, or other cancers is what the biopsy wants to eliminate.
BCC is VERY common in sunny environments. In fact, there is a guy in Hawaii, a surfer dude, who has over 500 BCC lesions. He just looks like somebody planted a hamburger on his face.
