Hello Everyone,

This is KEW's daughter posting. It is with a very heavy heart that I share that he passed away just before Christmas.

As many of you may know, his speaker collection was his pride and joy. He spent countless hours listening, comparing, and contribution thoughtfully to discussions here. This form meant a great deal to him.

As we work to settle his estate and prepare his home for sale, we will be holding an audio estate sale this Sunday, 2/15, from 10am-3pm in Canton, GA. We would be honored to see his equipment go to fellow enthusiasts who will appreciate it as much as he did. I'm attaching the link to the sale details that a family friend has posted.

Thank you all for being a part of something that brought him so much joy.

Hi Kurt's daughter,

I'm sorry for your loss. Kurt is missed by many on this site.

I've had the pleasure of meeting him and buying and selling gear back and forth with him. There is one particular item that I am interested in as I initially bought it from Kurt and then sold it back to him. It's listed as an Aragon Multi Channel Power amp on the last page of the Marketplace listing.

If you're interested in having that shipped to Rhode Island, I would love to own it once again. Kurt had bought it back to use in an Atmos system for overhead speakers which I have since become interested in doing. Good God, he had a lot of gear. :) I use to tease him about it and now I see he was being conservative in what he shared regarding ownership. I'm glad he got to have as much fun with it as he could.

Thanks,
Alex

EDIT: Message sent via Marketplace as well.

So I talked to Kurt's son in law. I suggested that he ask here where one might look to move a lot of this gear after the FB Marketplace thing is over and done with.

I only know of Audiogon. AVS forum might be a place that Kurt frequented but I'm not sure if they could access that account

If anybody here has any ideas please share them here. They're gonna have some gear left over that will need to be sold.

Thanks

US AudioMart probably gets the most traffic for 2nd hand audio sales.
I would also look into something like Pirate Ship to get better shipping rates if they don’t have a commerical account with the carriers.

Maybe hifishark.com too.

If I were in the area I would certainly come by and check out the offerings. Always enjoyed conversations with Kurt.

My condolences.

Our condolences again to your family.

I would second USAudiomart. I have used CanuckAudioMart on more than one occasion and the members appear to be much more reliable and honest than FB Marketplace.

I just sent the son in law a text asking him to list the remaining items here and letting him know there were a couple of good suggestions on sites to help move the gear.

Also I was interested in the Quad 909 amp he had listed on FB.

A quick search shows they go for in between $800 and a grand.

I gotta stop reading TLS' posts.

Buy it and you won't regret it. They sell on eBay for over a grand if they are clean.

You can't buy a better amp in that power range.
