I think many of us took substantial losses in 2008. With the two bear markets I have probably only averaged a 3 percent return over the last 15 years. Just try to maintain a reasonable allocation consistent with the remaining years until expected retirement and avoid unlikely expectations.

The Ascend CMB-170 may come in near the upper end of your budget for three. Definite upgrade over the Beta series (IMO) and probably about 15 pounds or so.

Do any of you play the fantasy sports such as football, baseball, etc...? I am playing fantasy baseball for the first time and must say it is somewhat addicting. Just a non-competitive fun league nothing money or cutthoat. Have both sons playing and it is actually fun. Tough part is not drafting...
