Actually all of the Axiom reviews we did were prior to any advertising arrangements. We chose our advertisers, not the other way around. We only allow advertisers on this site that manufacturer products we believe are of good quality and value. As for objective cable measurements/articles...

    Stereophile's AudioQuest cable review

Cool UMD I look forward and do have some ideas you may be able to help out with regarding your background. Tom, I don't think I got your email. I get over 1000 emails/day (95% spam) and yours was likely filtered by my spam program unfortunately. Please resend. I am working at Cable...

    Klipsch RF7

Rob why would you get an improvement using 5" speaker wire as opposed to original jumpers? It most likelyhood the DC resistance of the cable is higher (still negligible) than the jumpers themselve. Unless the jumpers are corroded or not making good contact with the binding posts, whats the...

    Stereophile's AudioQuest cable review

Well designed cables should be indistinguishable sonically regardless if they cost $5/ea or $5000. Beyond a very minimal price point you are paying solely for cosmetics and hopefully nice compression style terminations. IMO slapping a battery on a cable and marketing it as a scientific...

Subwoofer Calibration using Rives CD 2

Doc; You do have a valid concern, however remember that the EQ is only connected to the subwoofer channel. Thus the induced noise if any, is filtered out from the sub crossover and natural rolloff of the driver. Its not going to affect your main channels in any way.

    Stereophile's AudioQuest cable review

Thats great news. Looks like we started a trend with our cable debunking. Did they actually do any measurements or analysis? I asked Audioquest nearly a half dozen times for cable samples to measure and they refused. I would love to measure those cables with batteries on them. Heck I will...

    Shame on Bose

In one defense to Bose. They do have an amazing engineering team and research facility that is top notch. Sadly very little of that research trickles down to their consumer products.

    Shame on Bose

Zip; It could be worse you know. Some cable companies enjoy charging in excess of $4k for speaker cables with a battery attached to them. I say shame on the companies that do this, the dealers that promote it, and the consumers whom don't research it enough before buying it!

    Frequency Response??

Rex; The latter response is with respect to tighter tolerances thus why the bandwidth is more limited. In other words from 60Hz to 20kHz the spec is within +-3dB tolerance meaning the total variance within that bandwidth cannot exceed 6dB total. The former response of 30Hz to 50kHz +-6dB...

    Receiver vs. Seperates

Bruzios, who is feeding you these rules of thumbs? 1) Separates are NOT always better than flagship receivers. In fact, in most cases separates fall short when being compared to receivers within the same price class. 2) Quality cables need NOT be expensive. In fact if you are looking...
