2 will make a pretty big difference. For the money, they're great. Obviously you'll get more sub 30hz content when you spend $500+ (or DIY something), but the accuracy/tonality and SPL levels for the price are great. I need to pull out the SPL meter and see what I'm getting in room from 20-30hz

Those studio 580's and 590's intrigue me

2 of them are constantly surprising me. They have more authority under 30hz than my rw-12d's....And sound much better.

Yeah the ARX's seem nice also. Just watch out for the peeling veneer issues. Seems very common. If Jon would make them look a little better then I think he'd have even bigger sales.

Does the direction of the port really matter though? I wouldn't think it would (just port length, size, air speed, etc..but not direction of what it's firing into). Maybe I'm wrong. It's possible.

Yup that's their Black Ash finish. It's black, wood grain veneer with a clear coat on it. Looks really nice for the price. REALLY nice! They've got this color (Black Ash) and Red Burl, which is also very nice looking ^ This guy had nothing but good things to say also when compared to the HSU...

What about turning another e1010i on over and stacking them? Remove the feet on the top one, the ports will face up, but you'd never see them as it's in a corner. Plus you'd be corner loaded and stacked with 2 subs so for $500 you could have a heck of an improvement if you'd like. Just a...

Micca MB42x's are small. Run a small, cheap t-amp and you're good to go. Add a dayton sub-8 or something and you're sounding MUUUCH better than the Klipsch or Logitech for slightly more money
