    Help...hsu vtf2 or the Rythmik LV12R

Oh really. Good catch. Didn't realize they were 1m measurements. Thanks for catching that. Is there an 'industry standard' type of way to take a 1m to a 2m? Also, I see you say they are 1m 'burst' tests. Is that burst significant or different than what the 1m groundplane measurements are...

    EMP Tek 1010i question

Easy. Do you watch or listen to a lot of stuff with sub 30hz content? If so, lv12r. If not, dual e1010i.

I'm about to just suck it up and go with a few Submersives lol

    EMP Tek 1010i question

Fixed. lol. I wonder how close it'd be though. The e1010i is +/- 7.5db from 20hz-125hz. The JBL sub say's +/- 3db from about 30hz-160hz, whereas the e1010i looks to be +/- 4.5dB from 30hz-125hz

EMPtek 1010i black ash sub for sale

Hell....at $250, if he hasn't sold it....might as well add another. You're going to take a big loss if he really paid that so you might as well add duals...or even 3!

    Help...hsu vtf2 or the Rythmik LV12R

I wouldn't mind jumping up to dual lv12r's or a few vtf2's, but I'd like to find some used. Full price is just a little too much of a stretch at this point.

    Help...hsu vtf2 or the Rythmik LV12R

I'm kind of wondering the same right now. I have a potential buyer for my Klipsch rw-12d's, but can't decide whether to go with dual e1010i's, pick up something else or keep the rw-12d's *I can't find max SPL measurements for the rw-12d anywhere!

    Um....What? I Need HELP

I will try that, but I don't think that's the problem. When I run MultEQ XT and look at what it did....it boost the top end like CRAZY. I'm talking 3-6dB across the ENTIRE tweeter section. I'll take a pic real quick and try PURE DIRECT

    Um....What? I Need HELP

So doing it in PURE DIRECT would take out the possibility of it being the AVR? I don't see how. I know it disables all internal DSP, etc etc...but would that really rule it out? If so, that's great. I'll give it a whirl. Daughter woke up, but momma decided it was time to take some X-mas pictures...

    Um....What? I Need HELP

Yeah I'm taking it in today to exchange. Just right down the road so that helps. I do use Dynamic EQ. I'm going to have to look at my lower end again. Just took a few quick measurements and I can remember if those were with dyn eq on or off. I gave until mid Jan for my AVR warranty so...

    Um....What? I Need HELP

Lol never had a party at this house or with these speakers. Even then, the tweeter is crossed at 3kHz so its not the tweeter alone. Plus this pattern happens on every single speaker.... And from 1 foot or 1 meter or 12 feet away so it's not a room issue. I'm at a loss Could this be an AVR...

    Um....What? I Need HELP

Thanks. I'll have a look. Picking up a cheap laptop or borrowing one for some initial measurements wouldn't be hard

Gene's in-room measurement: What my measurement would look like in my room (applied to gene's curve; -25dB from 5k to 6.3k and another -9dB from that to 8k)

    Um....What? I Need HELP

I'll have a look at calibrated mic's then. Maybe I can just run a long cable into the study and use my PC.

    Um....What? I Need HELP

Thinking about taking the Ratshack meter back and picking up a mic (omnimic?) to use with something like REW. Real time FR graphs would be nice. Seems about the same price. I understand what you all are saying though. I understand cancellations, wave physics to an extent, etc. Obviously you're...
