My XB4 is clean, tight, and musical. It does not, however, go very deep. For music, I didn't hear much difference between using my VR2s with or without it. (I haven't tried it in my HT. I think my Def Tech mains go lower.)

They are both in their mid 70s so, yes, that could be it.

I haven't heard VT for comparison, but S&A is best described as "blaring". Any musical subtlety is obscured by relentless loudness resembling a wall of white noise. I have read many references to the "loudness wars", but I do not hear its effects on most CDs. This was one of the few exceptions...

Even if we are doing good for the Iraqi's, the question remains: what good are we doing for the US? I also don't believe that Bush has any sort of humanitarian intent whatsoever. I think he started the war to protect access to oil and to impress his daddy.

I have never heard of a "non-extreme fundamentalist" in any religion, Islam or otherwise. If Christian evangelists took power in the US, I doubt that the resulting living conditions would be much different than they are under Al Quaeda.

I have bought a lot of new music this year, and most of it is excellent. It is hard to choose favorites. Neon Bible by Arcade Fire and Rabbit Fur Coat by Jenny Lewis & the Watson Twins are pretty high up on the list. The only bad recordings (independent of content) I have heard are the new ones...

I am a huge Brian Bromberg fan. I have four of his CDs, of which my favorite is Wood II. He is good with an ensemble, but insanely great when playing solo. (The only thing about his recordings that I don't like is his use of extremely close miking, which makes the bass sound unnaturally loud.)...

Using a flimsy excuse to start a war and even flimsier excuses to keep it going while sending young American men to die and dramatically increasing the national debt is most definitely not for the good of the country and it's citizens.

The other day they were watching a music program when I went to visit them. I commented on the loud, obnoxious cabinet resonance. They looked each other and then shrugged and said "we don't hear anything". That is why anything better would go to waste on them.

I use my Bostons exclusively for music. They fall very much into the category of highly musical speakers. They are also neutral rather than bright.

Oh yes, another category to consider: Bad movies I have not seen and never will. :)

Crossdressing is pretty wierd, but when they start talking about putting cute outfits on German Shepherds, that is when they are over the line!:D

One thing that makes it difficult to compile any such list is that there are many different types of bad. A movie can be utterly forgettable (I would give an example, but I forgot), deadly dull (eg Lost in Translation), offensive (eg Hostel), disappointing (eg Red Dragon), full of terrible...

If so, he got beaten up a lot in school!:eek:
