Iraq undertakers: Feeling the Pinch
A lot of things are Bush's fault. He is the worst president in US history. (Worse than even Nixon, and that is saying a lot.)

Bi-wire or Bi-amp
If your goal is to play your system brain-meltingly loud, then active biamping might help. Biwiring does not merely do "very little", it does nothing whatsoever. (To see this clearly, simply sketch a wiring diagram.)

Iraq undertakers: Feeling the Pinch
I look at it this way: The Iraqui undertakers had more than the usual amount of work for a while, thanks to Bush's right-wing imperialist policies, and now their good fortune is ending.

Die Hard on the Go
If someone can download this, it means they have a DVD burner/player on their computer. In that case, why not just watch the DVD? I don't see the point of this. (It might make sense if they were selling it as a download to those who don't already own the DVD.)

To horn, or not to horn?
The only horns I have heard were by Klipsch. They were painfully bright.

New DLP TV, any Suggestions?
No way would I buy an expensive TV if I thought the life of it would only be 5 years. I would not be getting my money's worth from less than 15-20 years. I have had my CRT for about 7 years, and there is no indication that it is not brand new.

$1,000ish receiver
Do you need massive power? If not, why do you want to spend that much on a reciever? There are a lot of great recievers for half that.

Klipsch or Axiom...
Agreed. I despise the Klipsch sound.

I wish we'd see a larger selection of affordable LARGE TVs
If I ever decide to get something bigger, a projector might be the way to go. Screen size is effectively unlimited, and prices have become reasonable lately.:)

Direct-view CRTs are very heavy because of the glass. 34" is as big as they get (though I think there were 40 inchers at one time.) A 65" can only be rear-projection, so it may actually be lighter than your 34".

Any Primus fans out there?
I like Primus, but I like some of Claypool's side projects and solo stuff better. Mr Oysterhead, in particular, is awesome.

STAR TREK enhanced
The cheesy effects are one of the things that make the original series a classic. "Improving" them is sacrelige. (I also enjoy seeing the same backgrounds used on "different" planets, the fact that many of the "video screens" are obviously posters with wrinkled paper, the styrofoam boulders, and...

Was Dylan The Best Lyricist Of All Time?
It means he hitchiked to San Fransisco and became a transvestite. I don't see how that is ambiguous at all.:)

Someday, I might move up to a 42". It is hard to talk myself into spending that much, though (especially as my 34" tube has such an awesome picture.)
