The sharp doesn't decode DTS HD MA. DTS HD only. There are very few Lionsgate movies with DTS HD. All Fox titles have HD MA. However, the 1.5mbps DTS core track from the Master track is not bad at all.

It's a mixed bag. The Yamaha would do better for movies, the Denon is notorious for their excellent music handling. Yamaha has 2 more hdmi inputs, Denon has a better calibration system.

Having the 6060 and buying a 788 previously, the 788 is unquestionably better for music. It has a more spacious sound to it. The Yamaha's "enhancer mode" really helps though. The Yamaha is MUCH MUCH more wife friendly because you can edit scenes to a touch of a button.

My projector has the HQV Reon chip, so I would never want to get a receiver that had a scaler or a scaler that can't be turned off. It's makes it so much easier to manage resolution of incoming devices.

They need to push the scratch resisting Durabis stuff on Blu-ray. This is a huge selling point for Netflix, Blockbuster online etc. If they can improve the coating to the point where almost nothing will damage it, it will be a big boost to sway rentals.
