There was a second song in the encore, but I don't recall what it was. Not About Love was one of the most amazing things she sang. She REALLY went off on that one.

Fiona Apple Addresses Perez Hilton and Gossip Sites TMZ About Bullying

Apparently, making the best album of the year isn’t enough to keep you from getting the

bad kind of attention. When Fiona Apple was arrested for drug possession last week, her name popped up on a lot of gossip sites, and it hasn’t left even as her usual touring schedule has resumed; her weight and appearance have been subjects of quite a few clickbait articles. And at a show in Clearwater, Florida on Saturday night, Apple clapped back at all that stuff in an utterly endearing eight-minute ramble, delivered while sitting crisscross applesauce on the edge of the stage. She started out by apologizing for talking **** about the Texan cops who jailed her, and then went on to make larger points about the way certain corners of the internet have portrayed her. Below, read some of those comments and watch a fan-made video.

I have so much that I’d like to respond to about the millions and millions of articles that I have shamefully — I’ve given away my computer because I cannot do it anymore. I’m trying to keep track of all the ****in’ things that are said, but I can’t do it, so whoever’s going to write about me, go ahead. I’m not going to read it. But Perez Hilton, I should never have seen this, but to hire experts to comment and say that I am sick is totally, totally irresponsible and dangerous. And you should know better, and so should everybody that’s talking about me like that. Because if I am sick, then I don’t know it. And if I find out, then you’re going to feel real bad.

And I’m not on any drugs. I had some bourbon before I came out here. I’ve always been honest. Why would I be dishonest about anything. I just want to say, though: I realize that it’s hopeless and ridiculous for me to ask this. But Perez Hilton, TMZ, whoever you represent, I’m not invulnerable to this stuff. I’ve been around for many years, but it hurts. I spent all of yesterday — I don’t need to hear that I’m 98 years old just because I didn’t have a facelift in the last seven years. I’m ****in’ losing weight because I’m having trouble digesting food because your guts are connected to your brain. I have a lot of stress in my brain.

So lay off of that stuff because it hurts my feelings. If for no other reason, that should be a good enough reason. Stop hurting people’s feelings. Stop bullying people because you were bullied. I know that’s not what you are. It can’t be. I hope it’s not. Anyway, please stop hurting my feelings because it really ****ing bothers me. It really, really does, seriously, seriously. Please stop. It doesn’t matter what I look like.

Got there around 645 to the NYC show and had to check in my camera. No cameras and videos were allowed and announcements were made as well. If you had a video up for more than 2 mins, there was a guy with a flashlight warning you top turn it off. So security was tight. I was on 2nd floor level and I'm glad I did It was packed by the stage like sardines. I mean tight, so you are warned If you go 2nite.:) Blake came on at around 8:20 and did a decent set, although the crowd was very talkative during his set. After his set there was some Willie Nelson music played before Fiona came out. :D Fiona came on at 9:15 and did a 90 min. set. She was very talkative and seem the happiest I've seen her in awhile. Someone yelled I love you Fiona and she said I love you too. Her vocals were powerful and the band was great! Tymps, Not About Love, Anything We Want, and I Know + a couple of others were highlights for me.

Packed is what you WANT :) For a show like this, up front is a must. This was the first show I've been to where I was at the front and had room to move actually.

Blake made a comment at our show about one chick who was talking during his show so he STOPPED until she got off the phone... People were talking during his set at our show too, so I turned around and looked the annoying chick standing behind me in the eyes - she stopped.

Took your advice JG and got a spot on the right side of the stage for her 2nd and last show in NY.:D
Blake Mills the opener was happy he got a good reception, but still there was talking during his set. :( The show was the same, except hardly any talking from Fiona. The highlight was "Not About Love". She looked stoned during that song. I yelled "Where can I get some of that weed". :p Both shows were great, but I preferred the first one. As she started "I Know", Talking behind and I said shhhhhh and everybody to my amazement shut up. Quiet through the whole song. :D When she hit a note on one of the the songs I thought she was going to pop a vein. Oh her slip on shoes were strange and colorful. Her Butt looked nice in the dress too. When she did "Tymps" on tues. the bass actually sounded better and felt it when I was on the 2nd level then up front, weird. Reason I went to the 2 shows Is that she hardly tours. Her last show In NY was 7 years ago. Every time she releases a CD she tours. She does do little places In L.A. only like Largo every now and then and that's cause she lives there.
Here are some shots I took. Sorry they are crappy:

[h=1]Fiona Apple announces new tour dates[/h] Anything We Want: An Evening With Fiona Apple & Blake Mills to feature unreleased songs

Remember last week when Fiona Apple premiered a new music video for "Hot Knife" seemingly out of nowhere, and we figured an announcement about the songwriter's new movements would surface soon?
So yeah, Fiona Apple has announced new tour dates, and more specifically, the tour is dubbed Anything We Want: An Evening With Fiona Apple & Blake Mills. Mills toured with Apple on her 2012 tour, though he did not play on her most recent album "The Idler Wheel..." He previously worked with Dawes and has dropped one solo album to date.
Dates kickoff on Oct. 3 and run through the end of that month, with shows out of theaters and performance halls. The concerts themselves are "in development":
In a release, Mills and Apple jointly tried to describe the stint:
1) We were sent an assignment to write three or four sentences.

2) These sentences should communicate that we, Fiona Apple & Blake Mills (that's us), are doing a little tour as a duo.

3) We know it'll be something special, and we aren't being coy here -- it's just that we have about 26% of an idea of what the **** we will be playing for you.

4) It was our understanding that the 4th sentence was optional, but here is something that is true: the uncertainty excites us.
So, yes, Mills and Apple are touring only as a duo, and the concerts will boast "songs from their respective catalogs as well as some original yet to be released material." Perhaps there's a duets album in their pockets? Fans can keep up with updates about the tour at anythingwewant.us.
Fiona Apple released a new music video for "Hot Knife" last week; it was directed by Paul Thomas Anderson.
Here are Fiona Apple and Blake Mills' tour dates, with onsales:

10/3 Portland, OR Newmark Theatre 8/2, 10 AM

I always like Fiona, I have Idler wheel and a few other sets on my ipa(o)ds, I have a thing for female vocalists Fiona, Norah jones, adele, joni Mitchell, Janis Joplin, Sinead, Amber Rubarth, ect... I like male artists and groups too of course but my most used playlist is a couple hundred songs of all my favorite women in music- One of the songs I throw on to "show off" my stereos system is sinead o Connors silent night, if you have a decent stereo you need to turn the lights down, put it up a little past your normal listening volume and disappear in that song, it doesn't have to be Xmass time... We went to see Amber Rubarth last night in New Hampshire {she didn't play novacaine but she did a great job}, I am still here actually Pin NH}, staying at the Hilton about to go see a movie in the city, the show was at the tupelo Music hall, one of the best little venues you will ever watch a show in, if you are ever in the area, even if someone you never heard of is playing, go see a show there, its BYOB, they have a little kitchen, but what a great little place, seats around 120 or so {I didn't count, but about personal as you get, short of a private performance}... Something about an artist that gets up there by herself with a guitar, small band, piano ect and sings her soul out, is clean and pure... Obviously my love of music is what drives my love for audio equipment, and women just sound better then men, don't get me wrong I listen to the Beatles, Ozzy, Otis Redding, Bruce, Bob Dylan, Paul Rodgers, sachmo, ect ect ect but the women are my favorites...

I agree with you about female vocalist. I like all your mentions, but I never heard of Amber Rubarth I will look into her. Fiona's music just touches me like no other female singer. When The Pawn is awesome to listen on headphones. It's one those CD's I wished was in SACD/DVD-A surround. Always liked O'conner I had her stuff on vinyl and lost them in the storm. I bought a Hits comp earlier this year. I'll check and see if that track is on there, though I doubt it.

There's always the DVD-A (dual disc) of Extraordinary Machine. The stereo hi res tracks are pretty awesome. Pretty much a must own.

You will love this one....they stole a box from my house that had ALL of my Sarah McLachlan - at least 15 discs including one that was a custom made disc from some thing on one of the albums that you sent in to get bonus unreleased tracks of your choice. They got ALL of my Tori Amos, at least 10 discs. All of my Loreena McKennit. :( Collected those over many YEARS.

You will fall in love with her, lol Amber Rubarth - Novacaine - YouTube
WASHING DAY - Amber Rubarth Music Video - YouTube She sounds amazing in person, she writes all her own stuff, she used to be a chainsaw art artist, lol, 5 minutes with her and you can tell she is an old soul, deeper than most women her age, something special for sure... I like the unknown artists, you can go to a concert and hang out with the artists afterwards...
