I Finally Ordered Philharmonic HT Towers

I’ve been wanting these for ages. I’m not sure they will meet with wifey approval but I decided to take the “It’s better to ask for forgiveness than permission” approach.

Unfortunately it will be several months before the speakers arrive. On the other hand, the bathroom remodel will be done by then so the speakers may arrive during a brief spell of good will (assuming the bathroom turns out good)

I bought the BMRs thinking I wouldn't really want the towers. Now that I have a bit more cash freed up, I could have definitely gone with towers. So then the question is, BMR towers or HT towers? I do love those curved cabinets. I will be extremely busy at work until the end of the year, but the bonus should be very good and that may materialize that order quickly.

Congrats on placing the order. The HT Towers would be near the top of my list for end game speakers (that I could afford ). Will this be 2.0 or 2.1 only or did you order the HT Center as well? Which finish did you go with? I've been following Philharmonic on Facebook and they've been producing some interesting finishes lately.

The HT center is amazingly good. I had only heard the BMRs at a friend's which is why I wanted them. The HT center is the one that surprised me when I fired them up though.

This will be a 5.2 system. I have the Philharmonic HT center and I have a pair of the ceramic mini monitors for the surrounds.

It took me a long time to decide on the mains because this system is in my living room. On wall or in walls seemed like a better bet in terms of the spousal harmony factor, but I was not able to convice myself that in/on walls in this proice range would ultimately sound as good or close to as good as the HT towers. Dropping $4k+ on/in walls seemed like too much risk.

If necessary, I can placate my spousal unit with some big useless rocks (AKA "jewelry")(she has a black belt when it comes to spotting pressure points on my wallet).
