You wont be able to do much with just the grills. That is prabably why there isnt any case where a tekton purchaser got grills and not the speakers.

This is the second time I heard a comment where a guy said tektons soundstage is hallucinating. One from a pro reviewer, and this normal owner.

Well, I've got over 100 hrs and these things are scary.
The depth and invisability of the speaker is hallucinatory.
I was listening last night after mid-night when the AC is as clean as it's going to get and it was spooky to say the least. Imaging was so linear. I've never been that engaged in music before. The bass is so articulate that in my small room (10X13) it is a non issue. Still full and deep, but soooo good. I've emailed Eric and let him know what a gem he has with the Lore's.
A audiophile freind of mine came over and brought his Sony XA5400 CD player and I suddenly realized I need a better front end. My other speakers didn't even come close to these. The cross over less speaker has way more bennifits than I thought possible.

Hey, if you actually read some reviews of the tektons and the owners who didnt recieve their grills, upon reciving and hearing the speakers, they forget about the grills lol. (99% atleast)

I'm not arguing the quality of the speakers, but why bother advertising grills if you are not going to deliver them? It's just an absolutely horrible business practice and it reeks of arrogance, especially since you are charging for them.

I'm thinking of picking up a ExactPower EP15A to hook up all my gear to for $500.00. My house is running on a 100 year old generator so it should be good.

Alot of owners said it made quite a difference. Here is a review from Audiogon...

I just purchased the new ExactPower EP-15A AC Line Voltage Regulator from a Audiogon Seller " Chichiuno ".

The first thing I noticed when taking it out of the box was the build quality, all aluminum, and heavy. I pluged the EP-15A into the wall and all of my gear into the eight AC outlets on the back of the unit.

I turned the EP-15A on and played Lee Ritenour Rit's House, and I was amazed! It was as if I added another 50 watts to my Power Amp! The volume level had to be turned down from the normal listening position. The sound was smooth and rich. The sonic benefits from this unit are cleaner sound with no hum, and power, power, power! My Velodyne pumped out deeper bass, the Monitor Audio tweeters produced crisp high frequencies without sounding too bright, and the mid-range truly opened up with finer detail.

The EP-15A made a big difference in the sound of my system, but that's not all, the picture quality of my TV increased dramatically with brighter colors and sharper picture.

If you are looking for a cost effective way to give your system the boost it needs, try the ExactPower EP-15A. "You can't go wrong with ExactPower on".

Here is another one,

First of all, I must begin by stating that I'm not a sales person nor a dealer for Exactpower. I just recently upgraded from a Lexicon DC-1 (Auditioned the Lexicon MC-12 Balanced unit) Pioneer DVD-47, Adcom CD player, and two ATI amps (1505 and 1502) and a AudioPrism Power Foundation 3. My new equipment after back to back auditioning is now the Integra Research RDC-7, Integra Research RDV-1 and the Integra Research RDA-1 seven channel amp (BAT design). I'm using a Velodyne F-1500 powered sub and my speakers are B&W CDM 7 SE's for frnt L&R and the same for the backs L&R. I'm using B&W Bi-poles for the sides and the B&W CDM center. Mitsu 50" T.V. Like everyone else, I wanted to see if I might get more out of my system by adding a tweak or two. My system by all standards in the begining was pretty awesome. I started reading posts and doing in depth research on this and other sites concerning power conditioning and power regulation. The Monster AVS 2000 was too big and made a clicking noise as it corrected for power. The PS Audio stuff was also too big (expensive) and from users reports, was hot. Richard Grey, Tice, Panamax, Furman and others didn't even come into play after my research and needs were explored. I'm sure these units perform well. Then, I started seeing these adds, "exactpower, blows everyone else away". So I contacted this Anthony guy from NY and after a few minutes of talking I ordered both the EP-15a and the SP-15 units. The SP-15 balanced unit arrived today AND I THOUGHT my system was pretty awesome.... out of the box, the soundstage opened up, instruments were much more localized and clear, and the dynamics improved considerably...SH--! Joe Walsh's guitar on Take It Easy (Hell freezes Over DVD) came alive and sounded much clearer. It was like my system became alive and much more focused. More dimension, depth. After talking with Dennis at Exactpower, the Exactpower EP-15 is the unit THAT when added to the SP-15, will send my system into yet another dimension! Cannot wait for that baby. $2190.00 for BOTH units (SP-15 is HALF PRICE!) and FREE shipping, runs cool, very efficient, voltage regulator with surge protection, line filters, looks top shelf and balanced power to boot....it's the best INVESTMENT I have made since my upgrade!!! I wish I would have looked before I upgraded....maybe I wouldn't have had too. AWESOME DEAL, AWESOME CUSTOMER SUPPORT AND THANK YOU DENNIS, THANK YOU ANTHONY!!! FAST SERVICE ANTHONY>>>THANKS AGAIN!!!

Shunyata is $5,000, way out of my budget. Or, is there one where I can get it for $500-600?

I think imcloud was being funny. Speakers have a level of subjectivity to them, for sure, but power conditioners and what you're looking at is pure science vs pure chasing unicorns.

You really are on your way to becoming the world's worst bilge merchant, aren't you?

This particular tripe is easy to evaluate. Take and amp, plug it in connected to power resistors, and then look at the wave. Measure the clipping voltage and work out the power. Now plug it into the device you tout, and repeat measurement. Dollars to doughnuts there will be no difference.

If you look at the comment below your red bars, it tells us all we need to know about you.

Theortically speaking there isnt. But from the ones that actually own and hears them first hand there definately is. Mind your comment, the funiest thing about all this is that with all your comments and expertise on audio, you havent tried it out yourself. Hypcorite much?

Dude, honestly, is money the issue? If i were you, instead of calling me gulliable and the reviewers comments I have copy and pasted liars, I would just buy one and try it out myself...

I know when I'm wasting money, you don't.

That statement about a 100 year old generator leads me to suspect you are just in this for jollies and actually don't have a pot to piss in.

I want to see the details on that generator, with pictures.

If you don't provide them I recommend you be banned.

Truly spoken from an internet audio nerd. Nevermind the name calling, now you are telling me my own generator is not 100 years old and I need to prove it to you that it is? Somethiing wrong with you?

I mean really.. c'mon think for a minute. We have the power conditioner (grounds), the amp/preamp (root), the branches (speaker cables) and the bloomed leaves (speakers).

It all has to go together for the sound to come out right.
