Seriously, I have no life.
You got PM!:)
I have sent you a PM.

I have made you 2 adapters, 220 pf and 470 pf. The 220 pf is likely what you will need.

The goods will ship tomorrow, UPS will pick up the package and you should have it Friday.

Is there a 180 gram logo on albums? To let you know if it is 180 Gram? If so what does it look like?

I can't find a logo, I even looked in the run out groove because there are some stamped letters in there but no indication of 180 gram weight. You can just tell by holding the Lp and the thickness, other than that Life I don't know. :)

Thanks I have alot of old records by Tony Bennett, Dean Martin, Tom Jones and those are heavy, they were given to me like ten years ago all in nice shape. I have a Tracy Chapman debut LP and it says on the front cover "Pressed On High Quality Audiophile Vinyl" which sounds fantastic. If you can find it you'll love it also Sade's sound great too, but no sign on the cover like Tracys.

Thanks my friend, there is so much controvercy over LP (long playing) gram weight, but I don't think it has much to do with gram weight as to how good an LP will sound. Some factors involved and opinions and facts. Here:

interesting forum, I have many LP's that I've accumlated back in the 70's from Columbia House record club and they are light. I think the weight can vary from 100-200 gram, maybe more or less.:confused: How they sound does not seem to be a matter of weight. ;)
Cheers Jeff :)

Adapters

Hey Life, how did the capacitance adapters Mark made for you work out with the sibilance issue? I'm sure it really helped. ;)

No it's didn't work, but I will keep it plugged in. I'm sure it helps in some way. My TT is setup correctly. I'm changing to the new pioneer speakers to see If there is a difference. Should be here by Friday! I also got the AT120 & P102 carts on the way to play with.:D

lol good luck with that.:eek::D

From my experience, the higher weight (ie thicker) records are less likely to warp. So comparing new records you may not notice any difference. Comparing high mass to low mass old records or improperly stored records, the thinner ones are more likely to warp.

I think the phrase "improperly stored" is the key here to LP warping along with heat.
