My bro lives in Ripon...I only visit in July.;):)
Small world. Ripon is just 20 miles from here. I'm originally from there. Graduated from Ripon HS in '80.

Seriously, I have no life.
Watch it come down!

Round here it reminds me of an old demolition contractor, Syd Bishop, that used to be around London. His trucks were all painted with the slogan "Watch it come down!"

The North woods of Minnesota look beautiful, but we will likely get another foot of snow or more over the next 24 hours.

I have just come in from another bonding session with the 1948 model A John Deere. Heavy wet snow, but it pulled the 8ft blade in second gear. Nice notes from the exhaust echoing round lake country, governor wide open most of the time. No Chinese parts on that old girl!

A Happy Christmas to one and all from Walberswick House on Benedict Lake.

Yeah, tell me about it. I moved to Oshkosh in the mid 80s.
It wasn't 'til then that I learned Hendrix was dead and bell bottoms were no longer in style.

Funny you should bring that up.
The local "highbrow" resturant called the Republican House (LOL) was bought out years ago, Now it's chinese place.

Believe it or not it still not any cheaper than the American version. :D

Yes they did. 20+ years in the Navy, She's from the Seattle area and he's from SE PA...they wanted a place that had a small town community feel with good schools... He now works for at the U of Wisconsin.

Got more snow part II and III

Well friends I don't know where to start first of all I cant open my front door the snow has drifted half way up the glass panel. I lost two of my White Pine Christmas trees that I planted over the years, too much snow weight and they just broke in various places, I lost a very small (4-5 foot tall)Japanese Maple snapped in half and I can see one whole hedge row of shrubs are completely flattened, electricity was off for four hours so it got really cold in this here HT but I give my full respect to the line workers for connectiv as they braved the storm to get us back on line.I will post pics as soon as possible but I need to jump out the utility room window and go dig out the front and side door, I don't like feeling trapped inside, the great Noreaster has really banged South Jersey hard it looks like a blizzard out there
