Adam, ever think about the $100 MDS approved MX-350?

It's pretty sweet but you could save a ton of cash on batteries by changing the channels manually.

Thanks, Alex. I appreciate that. I'm all about the flashy, though. The Harmony One just looks cool to me with the color touch screen. True, I could just get fresh batteries for my learning remote from the Pioneer VSX-1015 (which actually works great)...but how am I going to stimulate the economy by doing that?

Which operating system do you have...32bit systems only recognize 3gig if I remember correctly...gotta go to 64bit to use over that....I think.

Do they even make a 64bit XP? I'm running the original install of Xp(SP3) that came with it (Dell XPS M1210 laptop).

Click the Start Menu, then move your mouse over to where it says "Computer" and /left/ click. Now select "Properties." This will show you your processor and operating system type.

If its a 64bit computer, when you upgrade to Windows 7, make sure you get the 64 bit version.

If your just using the computer for the 'net, it's probably not worth the extra scratch. If you use Photoshop, rendering packages, CAD, and so forth then it is.
