How much is your main home audio system worth?

We just had a customer that bought one of the Salamander Designs TV cabinets from us, he said he had a HiFI system worth over £150,000 with more than £30,000 of cables alone!!!!

Priorities.

My software is worth much much more than my hardware.
That's where I like to concentrate, and also on room treatments.
The gear is third in line. Gear in main system is worth just over 10 grand.

Wow, that's a grand total of $17,300, and doesn't even include all the monster cable, connectors, network stuff, and miscellaneous crap I have in it. Prices are from memory, and that seems like an awful lot.
I had the outlets in that whole end of the room wired to an isolated ground and have UPS on everything but the amplifiers. I have no idea what that cost.

3 kids in college system

OK, with three (yes THREE) kids currently in college, my budget system is as follows:

Speakers (all Hsu) 1600.
Cables about 100. (Monoprice!)
Receiver 600 (Accessories4less refurbished)
Display 1100
Furniture 200 (Ikea)

Adds up to about 3600.

I plan to add an Oppo universal player at about 500 but not until next year.
