So Chris, does this mean the veneer is going on soon?
In that picture, the veneer IS installed....

It's not finished of course; I have to prime/sand/paint the back black and fill/prime/paint the front lip that transitions to the silver OEM front paint, and apply a finish to the veneer.

Yeah, what he said ^^

:D
Yeah, no kidding. :)

Here, let me translate that for you:

"These speakers will sound real good."

Matt, I can't wait until you retire. This musical chairs approach to system configurations has me so confused that I forgot what I wanted to say.

Where'd the other subs go?
I finally found the perfect place for them...on the back left corner of the room behind the main seating area, stacked. Much improved bass output than any other position in the room.

Sweet Matt...when is Chris sending your new babies out?
Not for awhile, he's working on another set of speakers now. We are also waiting to see if I'm going to Virgina or not so we don't have to ship them.

Are you saying that you have two subs stacked in the back left corner and two more stacked in the back right corner? If that's what you're saying...THAT'S AWESOME.

Nope just one stack of subs, don't have room for them in the right corner and my wife would officially disown me.

Pics with the monitor 70's and one Rythmic DIY in place, also have the Harmony PS3 adaptor sitting on the SMS-1. Behringer amp and Kappa subs are in the spare bedroom.

I am, just not for sure when but it doesn't mean I'm going to stop buying....just going a different direction. :D

Looks like we are locked into going back to Germany however instead of Virginia. I tried to get Ft. Rucker to be a little closer to Florida(Audioholics home station) but it wasn't available.

I also ordered a new sub for future apartment living.....Velodyne SPL-800R.:D

Want to add these Rythmik subs are no slouch. It doesn't have the output the kappa's do but it is very respectable for a sealed 12" with only a 300w amp pushing it.

Good to travel light in your line of work and I could think of a couple worse places for you to be headed;).

The SPL's are very nice subs, be sure to post comments.

Yeah, both my wife and I really liked Germany the first time we were there and are looking forward to going back. By the time I leave there I will have 17 years in and most likely have one duty station left before retirement.:D
