I don't know if there is a Thread on this forum about what is the first live concert you have been to.

I saw them in 1972 at the Savannah Civic Center. What a show. First live show I have seen was Casey Jones & the Govenors. When I moved to the US it was Opening Act: Curved Air, Steppenwolf and the main event was Deep Purple also at Savannah Civic Center in 1972.

My first concert was rush and journey at the civic center. I think it was the 2112 tour. The show was standing room only. We go very close to the front row.:D

I went to a Nine Inch Nails concert on the Fragile tour ... around 2000? Maybe 99?

Kinda a bad first concert because every show since has been downhill from that haha. I mean, NIN fan or not, no one could deny that he put on a powerful show.

Then I saw him on With Teeth tour a few years back, equally sick.

Mine was Guns & Roses (Appetite for Destruction) opening for Aerosmith.

It was nuts Axel was an *** even on that first big tour. He came on like 45min late but I must say they blew Aerosmith away that night. Too bad it all went downhill after that album.

Well, my parents took me to my first concert which was at the Garden State Arts Center. Who was playing?

This guy...

I tell you what, he put on a hell of a show.

The first rock concert I went to was in 1986 (I think) at the Worcester Centrum, and it was Whitesnake opening up for Motley Crue on the Girls, Girls, Girls tour.

Mostly youngsters here. My first was in Madison Square Garden to see Alice Cooper in 1972. Chicago in Carnagie Hall the same year I believe, as well.

My first unofficial concert was Hendrix at the LA Forum in '69. Unofficial because my uncle and his best friend, who were in charge of watching me (I was 3 at the time) couldn't score tickets. So instead, we sat out in the parking lot with a bunch of other people who also couldn't score tickets, and listened to the sounds eminating through the forum walls. Not surprising, alot of the event was lost on me, but I do remember bits and pieces of it.

Queen.

I can't remember the year ('79??). It was their News of the World tour.
After that; Rush ('80??) Permanent Waves tour.

Both great shows. It left me holding a high standard for concerts. Some have lived up to the standard; Pink Floyd, Cooper, Cheap Trick, to name a few.

Most have not.
