I think that my first concert was INXS. It was nothing special.

My second and favorite was Def Leppard back in (I think) 1992.

For some reason I always figured you as a guy from the mid sixties. I guess I was wrong.

The first real concert I went to without adult supervision was The Tubes at Kings Dominion in July of 1983 (the Plimsouls opened for them). After that it was mostly hard rock and metal bands in the eighties.

First real concert I ever went to was Johnny Cash--it was awesome! I was like, 8 years old and with my parents, but still; Johnny Cash! I can definitely thank my parents for getting me hooked on the whole music thang at such an early age.

my first was THE DOOBIE BROTHERS, it was the first of their many break up tours. it was at mayor BURNS "HONKY FEST", 82 ?. it was when they used to call it CHICAGO FEST (TASTE OF CHICAGO, now. and in a different place. its CRAP. i never go anymore). they called it "honky fest" that year. because the minorities were boycotting, claiming not enough minority vendors. the place was JAM PACKED !!!

anyway. the show was darned good. and i was right up front. general admission.

It was a local DIY punk show in New Jersey, I think the bands were Face First, Humble Beginnings and Midtown. Damn those were the days.

My first year in high school I got tickets for three concerts all within 2 months of each other in 1979.
The first was 38 Special opening for Rush. 38 Special's singer was throwin cans of beer into the audience and Rush opened with side one of 2112. What a way to start!
The next was Van Halen and third was The Scorpions opening for Ted Nugent. Holy sh** those were some great shows with all bands in their prime.
