Hello Audio/videoholics!

Below, I have listed My Audio/Video entertainment system! I won't refer to it as a home theater because IMO a true theater consist of a mounted screen of at least 80"+ and a front projector! I have a flat panel with surround sound!
The system is somewhat overpopulated, but I like for my components to have exclusive responsibilities, excelling at 1 thing!
The dimensions of the room that's being occupied by all of these boxes is 18 x 11.6 x 8. So the components and racks pretty much extend across the front wall.

Thank you for the kind words. I have seen the images of your system. A very nice setup as well. The RC64 is unreal! I also like the dual sub configuration. I too have an additional sub. A Velodyne CHT-12. I did experiment with the dual sub setup, but I just couldn't get the response I was hoping to achieve. Then again, maybe my calibration skills are lacking! I can say that the Klipsch RSW10 does an admirable job, so I'm not too upset about my inability to incorporate the second sub.

It does seem that we share very similar taste in equipment and manufacturers.
I am currently contemplating adding the Apple TV to my setup replacing the iPOD dock. How do you like your Apple TV?!

At first I had a Klipsch KSW-300, then added an AV123 MFW-15 and went through a very frustrating process of getting them to sound good together. When I did the sound was incredible, the system hit 117db on my Radio Shack meter, not that I worry about how much sound pressure it could achieve it was interesting to see what it can put out if needed.

After adding the 2nd MFW and going through the process of getting it right again today the system hit 120db playing the Blue Man Groups "Club Nowhere" song. My plasma tv was visbly shaking. The bass was incredible and very very tight.

Also, the bass was more in control and integrated, if you didn't know where the subs were you'd have a hard time finding them I think. They just got lost in the room. So I think I have it right, at least until I use REW to see how far off I might be.

It does seem that we share very similar taste in equipment and manufacturers.
I am currently contemplating adding the Apple TV to my setup replacing the iPOD dock. How do you like your Apple TV?!

Agreed! It sure seems so. Regarding the Apple TV, for me it's like most Apple products, when it works it's great, unfortunately they rarely live up to their own hype. I like the Apple TV and will probably buy the next one that comes out but it does have a tendancy to mis-behave requiring a power off (unplug) to get things right again.

Apple cares more about look than heat management, my Apple TV runs pretty warm and when in use I'd even say it runs hot, which is never good for a computer product so when I don't use it I unplug it. Even with it's once in awhile issues I'd recommend one.

Thanks for the kudo. I do have an affinity for the multiple rack configuration. But a part of me desires a more efficient setup. Eventually, one day I will grow up and eliminate at least half of the boxes, go streamline with only the monitor and speakers upfront, components in one rack in another area of the room. But not yet!
In regards to the sub dilemma, I initially started with the larger Velodyne CHT-12, but it lacked the refinement needed due to the size of my room. The Klipsch RSW10 blends well during music playback, especially with multi-channel (SACD).

Very nice equipment list and I agree with your statement regarding what constitutes a Home Theater. Big screen and surround sound are the only way to fly ...

Thank you for the kind words. I'm very humbled. I realize that my configuration is not everyone's idea of a good setup. And clean is the last thing you think when you see 3 racks and 16 total components. So your compliment is very appreciated.

The glass man headphone stand was a gift from my wife. She saw it at an antique shop and thought it would be a classy addition to my entertainment room. It's actually designed for hats so they can maintain the original shape. It was made in the 1940's.

Still climbing the Mount Ultra I see!
Any closer the acquiring the Emotiva XPA-5?
BTW, the dual sub experiment was unsuccessful. I just could not get the Velodyne and the Klipsch to work in harmony. Even with repositioning, I just could not achieve the deep and tight response I was hoping for. I do contribute my lack of calibrating skills to this failure. I was also told that when applying a dual sub config, the subs should be of similar design. The Klipsch and Velodyne CHT-12 is anything but similar. Other than purchasing a new sub, do you have any sugestions?
