FedEx is the best. It's the only way I ship. UPS beats the crap out of stuff, and the Postal Service likes to lose things (they seem to be getting better though).

No sub? No pics tonight?!? It's time to get drunk - and I mean sloppy. I'm so depressed. I wanted to see that bad boy. Oh, wait...I can go to the SVS website. Ahhhh. I'm more calm now. Whew.

Seriously, man, that sucks for you. I only called UPS customer service once, and I'm never going to do it again. It's a black hole of your time, as you found out. I've had pretty decent luck with them in terms of general deliveries. Yes, both SVS boxes had large holes punched in them. Yes, I've gotten other packages that looked like they were catapulted to my door from a block away. For the most part, though, things show up alright. Now that you have Amazon, babeee, you'll see. Oh, wait - I guess that you need to cancel that, because they use UPS a lot.

Best of luck getting it tomorrow. Pics or no pics, I want you to be able to experience the joy that is a new SVS!

Thanks man im calming down but only a little, well I Hope Amazon dont use ups because I seriously... well let me put it this way it will be a cold day in hell were ups will see a nickle from me or any merchant I do business with from a order because it wont happen!!! I knew this girl that worked at UPS And I asked why everytime I got something from them it looked like they played football with it and her response was she laughed and said they do , they play catch throw them around and bounce them around, I said you've got to be kidding and she was serious she said they really do Anyway I never did get a call back from a manager at UPS....wow theres a surprise Well im going to try and pick it up tomorrow straight after work but im not getting my hopes up thats for sure....

Sorry, man - Amazon uses UPS. They also use FedEx and (very rarely for me) DHL. If you don't want UPS to get your money, that's one thing and I understand. If you just want your stuff in one piece, Amazon is great. If anything is broken or something goes wrong, they make it right.

I've never asked Amazon for a specific carrier - maybe they'd do that for you.

Sad very Sad, I Really liked Amazon to. Fedex was used when they sent my Component Rack that I got today and the box was perfect although I havnt even opened it yet since I wasnt in the mood, thats something that should be fun to put together but UPS kind of ruined the mood for tonight anyway but tomorrow is another day

UPS (my rant)

I had a similar experience with UPS being extremely sloppy with the pickup and delivery. I was told that it took 4 days worth of attempts for them to actually hit the pre-arranged pickup window. The day it was supposed to be delivered, the trucks got called in due to ice and sleet (not their fault - this is NY). After that, I asked them to hold it the next day and I would pick it up, only to arrive at the UPS facility after work and find that it was out on the truck anyway.

There were a few plus sides, though; since the driver was still out and I was able to make it home in time to meet him. Also, once I saw the box, I realized that it would have been a challenge to load it into a Corolla. And finally, it arrived in pretty good condition. This last one should be expected, and not considered to be a plus that they didn't actually mangle my sub.

Man, UPS is terrible!

Hey, Factor, I hope that things work out today, that your sub arrives intact, that you are able to set it up and tune it tonight, and that you absolutely love it!

I guess I have been lucky, I have never had an issue with UPS. Even when I miss the deliver, I just show up between 7:30 and 8:30 and they always have it right out to me.

My packages are always in good shape when they come too.

Update For The Update !!!

I picked up my sub today and it was waiting for me when I got there after work about 4pm. The girl that helped me was actualy pretty nice and I realize obviously it wasnt her that caused my problems yesterday, But as far as UPS goes you guys and gals no How I feel. So back to the good news I managed to stuff it in the back of my GTI with only a few inches to spare, the box "knock on wood" looks to be in good shape the best out of any shipment I received from UPS and I'll be unloading it shortly and taking pics for you guys threw out my unveiling lol step by step . I will try to post them up tonight if I have time but I promise for sure by tomorrow night. Thanks to everyone because I felt like I had you guys and gals by my side threw the whole process good and bad lol and for all the kind words and "reashurence" << hopefully I spelled it wright but if not just sound it out Ok off to pic taking and unloading
