Update.....

Not much but added a logitech Harmony 525 universal remote :D. it has made life a hell of alot easier. My standard Onkyo reciever remote was universal, but this is awesome.:) its great only havin to push one button and have everything set up to watch dvd or TV . . :), It has a LCD screen and controls every function of every component. it was $99 NewZealand dollars. Id be interested to here what you guys pay for this model.

Congrats on the new remote! As far as I can tell, the 525 isn't available in the USA. There are two (the 510 and 550) that look similar, and the 550 runs about $80 USD.

Yeah mate they are great remotes!! that price sounds about right. it awesome been able to have total control over all components. i didn't want to buy a cheaper one and not have all functions on all components available. i suppose im just a control freak!!:)

Update

its been a long time since ive been on here, been very busy. anyway im posting as ive got a story to share. when i first bought the Cerwin-Vega VE setup (about two years ago), it was great but within six months the VE-28s sub started to emitt a crackling sound at random times, whether it was recieving signal or not. it got worse and cerwin replaced the amp assembly. six months later same prob, tried different rooms and sockets, and still crackled. so again back for repair, replaced another part of amp, not sure what. well happened AGAIN about 5 months ago (different house this time) and this time they gave me a brand new replacement of the same model. guess what???? three weeks ago.............crackling. so took it in and im been givin the CLS-15sx! stoked!! it will be here in a few days so will post pics, its a large unit, 63cm H x 53cm W x 72cm deep. It turns out the VE-28s had a flaw and alot where having problems identical to mine. so ill keep you guys posted, the bass i had before was insane so this coupled with the VE-12s should be fun!!!

They look to be a decent speaker. mine are all the VE series, the reason im getting the CLS-15 is i had problems with the VE-28s sub so they decided to give me some thing huge as compensation. i must say im really impressed with the way cerwin vega treated me. they never accused me of pushing the sub to high or abuse. just said sorry and heres one worth twice as much! the VE-5M bookshelfs are great little speakers, i use them as surrouds but they would be great for sattelite fronts. good down to 60hz according to specs.
