Right. So I'm setting up a new system in what's eventually to be our permanent and final residence. Right now it's a pretty simple 2.1 affair with some relatively complicated Dennis Murphy 3-ways, a DIY sealed sub that was aligned by TLS and built by a member named Ken. All is being driven by a Denon AVR X7200WA that I bought off Craig (ADK). An aging Panny Plasma is serving as the display. Still looks great despite what ever anybody ever said about fade and burn in.
I have a bunch of in ceiling speakers that I can eventually use for Atmos like way down the line. Of more imminent concern is a deal I have in the works for some Version 1 BMR's in kit form. I just need to figure out where to send the money. I'm really looking forward to that and would love to share the details if the seller gives me his permission. I'm a sucker for a good deal but this is more like a gift.
Currently the struggle is Audyssey XT32. I ran the initial calibration but don't really know if I'm using it. The DEQ is nice. Having lived in a condo for so long has had me listening at low levels and that's where the DEQ does its magic. I still like having music play in the background at low levels and the bass boost sounds nice. Now it's time for the RTFM education along with finding out about the Audyssey MultEQ XT32 (PRO).
I'll be back with intelligent-ish questions about using the rec'r. It seems like I might have to run an Audyssey calibration for each source? The initial set up set my mains as large which I'd like to change but would still like to use the curves. Also I'm getting the idea that there's a app you can get to have more flexibility. Is that the PRO part?
This is the first part of the journey for me is a 30 min video from Masimo on Youtube.

That's where I noticed that there's about 5 hours of videos on this including a few hours by AH with Gene himself. Yeah, this could take a while.
