I watched the entire second season of HBO’s “Rome” in one sitting. Don’t know if it counts as watching but also about 10 hours of “Elder Scrolls VI: Oblivion.
I loved Rome, although I thought season 1 was better...wish there was going to be more seasons.

When did TES: 6 come out? I'm only on 4 :D

This weekend I watched "Back to The Future Part III", hey, the wife had never seen it, and "The Island", which I thought was going to be awful, but ended up a pretty decent action flick.

I also thought season 1 was better, having not watched season 2 before, the marathon session was very nice. Wish there were more also. I guess I’ll have to dig up my old copies of “I Claudius.”

I only wish spell-check could catch dyslexia.

Watched The Patriot last night. This really is a great movie. The cannon fire gave me goose bumps, especially with the Ultra in action now. Some good LFE in this movie. Felt the need to watch since we are just coming off of the 4th of July.

I liked that movie for reasons I can't quite understand. When my head clicked in, I wondered how it was that Gibson's Francis Marion-like character left a bunch of kids at the start of the revolution, in 1776 and when it was over in 1781, they were all still the same age. I also couldn't quite understand that bloody scene were he cut up a whole British platoon with his knife, why a few of them didn't just stand off a distance and shoot the sucker. Oh, well, movies...they got the Battle of Cowpens somewhat right.

I saw Wall-E. Great animation with most of the usual Disney character conventions, with a post-apocalyptic eco-message, but I can't way that I thought it was as good as all the four-star, A reviews I saw.

On video, I watched Vantage Point. This was interesting, seeing the same story assembled from a half dozen different characters' perspective, but I couldn't help thinking that it was like a season of "24" condensed into 90 minutes.

David Gilmour's 2007 concert DVD, Remember That Night: Live at the Royal Albert Hall.
I highly recommend it, to any Floyd fans.

I saw Wall-E and liked it but I didn't rave as much as most reviewers.

Stargate Atlantis. Season 4 just got released on DVD and is available from Netflix (I don't have cable, so I watch them this way). Better than I had hoped, given the change in the cast. I've liked the first two discs.

Had a few hours to my self, so I threw in Top Gun watched in DTS 6.1 and cranked it pretty good to bring the ULTRA to life...sweet

Watched 10,000 BC Friday night...

One of the main reasons we started Netflixing was for Voyager. We missed it while we had DirectTV. They never carried the channel then. 7 of 9 ;)

Well, got to see the new X-Files, The Happening, and 21. I really liked X-Files and 21 was very good. However, The Happening left much to be desired. Oh well, guess they all can't be good. ;);)

Cheers,

Phil
