May just have to check it out mazer. Neil looks a bit older but it doesn't appear he has lost his touch. Personally, the guy is a drummer God so to speak. Just wish I had that much talent. ;);)

Cheers,

Phil

It's an 80's summer!

I saw Bon Jovi and Daughtry a month ago, and am headed to Journey/Heart/Cheap Trick in September. Journey's new front man was discovered by them on You-Tube. He sounds great!

Daughtry was just in my home town last month. Tickets went on sale, and was sold out in 5 minutes. I missed the boat on that show.

I seen Journey at the Jones Beach theater in 2001. Great show. :D

Would love to see Bon Jovi.

Just found out today that as I mentioned earlier 3DoorsDown and Staind is coming soon, but so is Finger11. This should be a good show. Hopefully, I can make it.

Cheers,

Phil

I've seen Staind twice and they put on a solid show. Haven't seen 3Doors yet, but I want to.

The only show I won't miss this year is Porcupine Tree if they tour. Maybe Nine Inch Nails.

Hey John hope all is well. Never seen Staind or 3DoorsDown but sure hope to. Bob Dylan is coming, but it will be an outdoor event. It is so hot and humid here right now that may pose some problems. Wished, Jacob Dylan aka The Wallflowers would tour with him. Now that would be a show to see.

Cheers,

Phil

Actually, the Wallflowers and Dylan did do at least one show...and I was there. My former company, Applied Materials, did a big anniversary thing and part of it was that concert. Too bad they held it in an arena that has terrible acoustics. The show was a little short, but at least very, very interesting.

Oh man you are one lucky........guy!!!!! Thought I had heard something on the radio the other day that "The Wallflowers" was touring. If this is true, hope they come here. Another band that is supposedly touring is STP. If they come here, I guarantee you I will see them. Stone Temple is awesome. John, we must be about the same age. I am very soon to be 41. Bet you are close to me if not just a little bit over. Am, I correct?

Cheers,

Phil

A couple younger, but yes, same era :) 3Doors was already here and I missed them, so if they come back with Staind, I will be happy to see that show. I wouldn't mind seeing STP either - I think those tickets went on sale here recently, but I am not sure if I will go.

Oh I would surely go see STP. If, they come here you can bet I will be there. Figured you was close to my age/same era. Just wonder who else here that is close to or are the same age as us. Do you know by chance how much the STP tickets are?

Cheers,

Phil

Who are you going to see Rick?
Hi Jamie, first I have to say how great your job sounds.
Is it as fun I would think? Or does it inevitably turn into work?

As far as concerts, we saw Eric Clapton in May.
We're going to see Steely Dan at the Beacon Theater, NYC June 14th.
Also the Outlaws on June 18th in PA.

I used to see every big name musician or band that was touring (eg Springsteen, ELO, Fleetwood Mac, Rush, Jethro Tull, etc.) for $8-$12 per show. Now it costs $75-$100 if not more. It just isn't worth it.

Its a great job. Being away from the wife and kids is kind of a bummer but the money is good and I get to travel all over the planet and get paid for it. Of course there are good days and bad days as with any job,but most of the time I really enjoy touring. I do miss the studio though when I am gone for a couple of months.:D

Thanks John for the info. I would pay that to see STP. Maybe they will eventually make it here to my area. Have a good evening.

Cheers,

Phil

Sounds like a very interesting job. Like any, it has its ups and downs. Hopefully, the ups outweigh the downs. Being on the road is no easy task either. Kudos to you my friend.
