ITS TOM WAITS for god sakes. That is going to be very worth it:D Have a blast at the show. If you see Tower of Power near you just mail me and I will set you up.
Guess it's something like 10 years! since he's had a concert in Europe.....

Thought I would revive this thread :). My brother called Thursday afternoon and asked if I wanted to see Judas Priest that night. Hell yes! My nephew is a big Sabaton fan and they were supposed to tour with J.P. 2 years ago but eventually were replaced with Queensryche (due to COVID delays). Decent metal band in their own right and a good pairing.

I expected more material from the newer albums but was pleasantly surprised by a lot of early material, including Rock'a'rolla, Victim of Changes, Diamonds and Rust, and one of my favorites Electric Eye. Yes, they also did Painkiller and the usual hits like You've Got Another Thing Coming and Breaking the Law (for which Halford brought out the Harley). Great guitar and drums and Halford's vocals were pretty decent for his age with lots of high screams once the old vocal chords were warmed up. I've had their albums since I was a teen but oddly enough my first time seeing them live. It was a fun show, but very loud. Glad I packed my ear plugs. :)

I have tickets for Coldplay in May, Tears For Fears in June and Roger Waters in Sept. I've only been to one show in 3 years.

This was my first big concert in a long time. I got my wife tickets to James Taylor two years ago and it's finally rescheduled for April 30. They changed the accompanying act to Jackson Brown. His vocals are actually pretty good still (saw him on Austin City Limits recently). I'm going to see Roger Waters in Toronto with a friend July 8th. Word is that this tour has two huge screens so the lower bowel will be a great place to be able to view both screens. Still thinking about Porcupine Tree but the cost is high.

I haven't been to a concert since I moved to FL in 2017. o_O  I used to go to concerts all the time in NY. Maybe this year...

Really dig Steven Wilson. Just saw Spoon, seeing Joe Jackson in DC in a few weeks. First live shows for us in way too long. Don't know if any of you are PsyFurs fans, but they, as are Joe Jackson and Todd Rundgren, defying age and blowing the roof off live, still. On the younger side of music, just for sheer live performance awesomeness, go see Wolf Alice.

I would definitely go see Wolf Alice if they came to my area. The Fillmore has a nice line up this summer but it's 9 hours by car for me. Well... going to see Band-Maid there in October, but I'm making an exception in their case. :)

Saw that Furs went on sale, but it isn't a good date for me otherwise I'd go. Blondie and The Damned are coming too, and I REALLY want to see that, but it is middle of the week in SF. HoJo and Midge Ure are touring together too, like a "30yr reunion" tour that they did in the 80s.

I saw Howard Jones open for Eurythmics, oh, say in 1984. He was surrounded by so many keyboards it seemed like he wanted to double the combined keyboards for both Wakeman and Emerson.

I just received the porcupine tree album w/2 CDs and Blu ray. Strangely, there is a book with it that has blank white squares in the middle of most pages. The music is awesome as expected, but no explanation for the white squares and nothing included to stick on them? Anybody know what it's about?

I am still waiting for my BD/CD Closure/continuation set to come. Seems they are backordered, even though I preordered it a long time ago.

Just reading some comments on Amazon.....seems Apple Music has a 10 song album available, the cd apparently only has 7?

The Amazon digial album has 10 tracks. If you buy the BD/CD set they are included, but the "regular" CD does not.

The deluxe album has 3 discs. 1 cd has 7 tracks. 2nd cd is purely instrumental; it includes the 7 as well as 3 new additional ones. 3rd is blu ray of the main 7 with atmos. These have some videos that are all cgi without any people on them. Atmos good but I just turned the visuals off to listen once I previewed all of them.
