Yeah, what a high quality example you pulled up there. Use music videos.

And would you stop arguing over musical tastes, you're not going to get anywhere, just look at Joe Schmoe.

Hey Guys,

If you can't be friendly, please use the PM feature to argue alone. I started this thread to get names/info on good bands, and don't want it closed due to our bickering. And yes, even I'm guilty.

Listening to some Puddle of Mudd right now...O.K. Rock and Roll.

I apologize for jacking your thread/starting arguments. I had a horrid day and got all riled up. Sorry all.

It's rare but I agree with Gimpy. I don't want to see Joe cold-bed or any other music snobs posting in this thread if they're not going to contribute.

And for the last time, stop arguing over music. You're never going to agree.

Now listen to some awesome Pendulum.

Not rock, but awesome.

I just put up a list of videos. Are you blind?

I can see the pictures, but I can't learn anything by listening to the sound (my computer speakers here at work are utter crap, and the soundcard is even worse.)

I just wanted to make it clear that that my initial post was to recommend some bands that I like. Nowhere in that post did I crown these bands as the best musicians in the world but unfortunetly it was made into that by obs. I bit my tongue as long as possible until they attacked Joe so I thought I had to defend myself as well as Joe because this person was making frivolous claims of this music based on no knowledge and listening experience of this band. If you read this thread from the beginning to end you will find this is true. I did not like to get involved in arguments including religion, politics and music because everyone has an opinion and eventually this leads to knowhere. However, I thought it was necessary to defend myself. I am ready to bury the hatchet:).

Rock On!

Since I'm deaf and have no credibility, I guess it's impossible for me to add anything to this. I'm not sure why you "needed to defend yourself" I didn't attack you, just offered criticism of the band. Then I even apologized for starting an arguement. Oh well.

On another note, I believe someone earlier mentioned Tool. I'm a huge tool fan (even though I don't really know what genre they fall in). I'm particularly fond of 46&2, Lateralis, and Parabola. I'd post a video, but honestly their videos creep me out!

Yeah I am a big fan of Tool also. Seen them live once and they put on an excellent show and sounded really really good. However, Maynard (the singer) was silhouetted with his back turned to the crowd the entire concert:eek:

How about Scorpions, Megadeth, Pantera, Motorhead, Faith No More...

I just think hard rock is metal and metal is hard rock and its all rock n' roll. I don't like over categorization because it limits creativity.

Faith No More:D, one of the many bands fronted by the talented Mike Patton:D. This guy is one very diverse vocalist. Each of his bands are so different and the same for his vocals. Some of my favorites are the band Tomahawk and Mr.Bungle (very interesting band:D:eek::):D). Mr. Bungle is an aquired taste:eek::).

Hot funk, cool punk, even if it's old junk,
It's still rock and roll to me.

Megadeth are sweet. Countdown to Extinction was one of my first CD's, still love it to this day.
