i'm bored and going crazy not having anything new since october last year ...

here is my current wishlist:

1) Monitor Audio PL100 (I really don't need this)
2) Denon AVR3808 (I need this because I want an HDMI receiver in the bedroom, I will use this as my HT receiver and move my 2307 to the bedroom)
3) Apple TV or PC to use in the bedroom or Mac Mini (of course, if I do get new bedroom stuff, I need source material to play there)

Mikey you crack me up!:D

I was telling Tomorrow that I feel like a kid during Christmas, my Dell PC is scheduled to arrive today along with my Turtle Beach Montego card, Firefly PC remote and finally a 2' Toslink that I ordered from BJC, all in one day! I'm putting a dedicated music library in the kitchen, now I'm shopping for a RAID solution. My wish: when I finish putting this together it works!:D

the wife is kinda standing in the way of the apple tv or new pc. she says that I should get her a new PC laptop and that I use her mac as replacement for the apple tv. (for some reason, she's still using my desktop instead of her mac ... i bought her the mac so she can stay away from my PC)

what's a montego card? what does a firefly pc remote do? does that add an IR port to your PC so you can play songs from the listening position?

Turtle Beach makes the Montego 7.1 surround sound card, 24/96 hi rez digital playback and record, 2 optical inputs.

1. A decent 2-ch room (not happening)
2. A7 - 900 Subwoofer (hey if it doesn't fit, I can use it as a riser!)
3. An ideal center speaker solution
4. A new car (one day... been saying that forever)
5. A vacation! (wednesday, woo-hoo!) Hey, 5 days is better than nothing!

I finally got #4 above scratched off the list, for free no less. We loaded our whole music collection into the Archos AV-700 that we already had and it works great. I couldn't use the Archos for this purpose before because my wife loves her electronic gadgets and devices and she guards them jealously. I had to threaten to go out and buy another Archos just for use as a music server before she agreed to let her Archos be used for anything other than storing recordings of The Simpson's reruns off the TV.

1) trade in my dual 20" widescreens for a 30" LCD for photo editing, possibly an NEC or something (not coming any time soon)
2) Canon 5D Mark II/3D/6D/7D.... currently not in existence so I'm hoping for a product announcement soon
3) 2 stop soft and hard edge ND filters
4) timer remote release for my camera
5) new laptop. Waiting on the new Thinkpads to be released... probably 6 months away from this upgrade though
6) subwoofer for my stereo. No room for it though so this isn't likely until i move in a couple years
